Chris Holtmann (ex-tOSU Bball coach, HC at DePaul)

Where has he coached?
Only head coached at Northwestern. He's actually 3 games over .500 according to Wiki but the graphic during the game said one game. Either way, not enough for the rabid wolves in Columbus. He has had 3 20-win seasons at Northwestern though which is pretty good and probably get his 4th this year. I do really like his Defense though so he's viable as a coach here but I dont think the fans would like the hire.

I don't know if a Mid-Major guy can handle the pressure in Columbus. It's possible obviously but it would take a really special guy to pull it off.

What pressure? The bar is pretty damn low. Make the tourney and make the S16 every couple years and most fans are going to be fine. Just don’t be awful!

This is hilarious on Gene’s part. You don’t have to have a crystal ball to know what’s inevitable here.

Maybe Izzo can give Holt another vote of confidence and admonish all of us fans for taking issue with the cluster fuck this program is.

The new AD begins the transition period on March 1st. I'm guessing Gene wants to discuss any move here with the new guy.

If I'm Bjork I'd want input before Gene makes a move at this point.

All I want to implore, is that we do not digress into Bucknuts or Rivals or some shit because the man deserves better than that and so are we. He might not be the guy we need to lead us to a Championship but he, nor his players, have acted in any such manner as to besmirch the institution that is, The Ohio State University.

We can definitely all agree that there needs to be a change but let's not allow any kind of ridiculous bashing to occur because even when we are pissed, we are still better than that kind of shit.

Regardless it's time for new basketball leadership.
