Chris Ash (Secondary Coach Jacksonville Jaguars)

I think we need to put our SEO to work here and change Tim Beck's thread title to include "The Greatest Offensive Coordinator in the Universe" or something. Or start writing some B/R articles praising the Ohio State gameplans. Anything.

The heck are you talking about? His resume sells itself.

Tim Beck:

- Coach of the #1 team in the Nation*
- Coach of the College Football National Champions**
- Coach of Heisman Candidate QB***

*weeks 1-9
**preseason projected
***2014 season only

I'm sure it was a great interview, but there wasn't much competition

It was a sweet deal for Ash. In two years, he went from someone somewhere in Wisconsin, Arkansass, whatever...no body heard of TO --> HEAD COACH of a Big Ten school football team.
Hopefully this will make the job attractive. Come in to a top ten defense, work with most of the coaches present before, nice people, fill a gap, don't screw it up, get along with everyone, do well, and who knows...your dreams come true...maybe Purdue, Illinois, Minnesota,...not convinced with any of their situations...

Ash is going to be great for this program... and the type of kids that play for Rutgers (excluding those in prison) will be the exact type of players he loves
they play all out with heart more than talent... undersized but fast... won't compete for B1G East titles.. but they'll be back to annual bowl games

Of course, that's the interview, right, and then you have to have confidence that this is the right individual,” Hobbs said. “If you look across Chris Ash's career as a coach and what he's done with defenses, obviously at the schools that he's been, the dramatic improvement.

*sigh*

So, ADs do look at things like "improvement" when making new hires?

There goes that other staff change so many of us were hoping for. :sad2:

Since Ash is taking Ohio State's Quality Control coach with him to Rutgers I do not see why he does not take one of the finest offensive minds, Tim Beck, with him also.
From 11W
ASH POACHES QUALITY CONTROL ASSISTANT. Chris Ash is leaving Ohio State after the Fiesta Bowl, and he's taking Vince Okruch with him.
