Why would you whine about your ranking a week before you play USC?

Win and it takes care of itself.

Lose and you look like a fool.

A fat, arrogant, stupid, fool.

I have to admit, I'll be pulling for USC to blow the doors off Fat Charlie's boys in South Bend. Don't know if that would be good or bad for us, I could make an argument either way, but it sure would be fun to watch.

Ol' Frontbutt is not going to win this one. The Clausen for Heisman bus has the wheels fall off this week.
With extreme prejudice.

I've heard so many comparisons of this to the '05 game that I may puke at the next one. That 2005 Trojan team was built completely different than this years version. The 2005 defense was the worst of their entire run this decade. This defense is fast and aggressive and will eat Clausen alive with a side of toast.

This is pretty accurate, although the '05 Trojans had more talent/experience on the offensive side of the ball. O-line was just as good as always, but they had Reggie Bush along with Lendale White, a senior Matt Leinart, and a few decent receivers one of which being Dwayne Jarrett. The defense is definitly going to be nastier, they'll be the best the Irish face this year depending on who, if anyone, they meet in a bowl. With Floyd still out, I don't see the receivers getting open at all, especially if they double up on Tate. Theres going to be a lot of coverage sacks, and probably quite a few sacks due to lack of protection

trust me it would be good for us. only bad part is that we can't jump USC in polls. Trust me there are lot more forces working to keep tOSU out of NC picture. Also, if ND loses... it will give two big ten teams a chance to be in BCS

So I am all for USC beating ND.

Not necessarily. Get a quality coach in South Bend without much attrition, and they're an instant title contender, and will be a much bigger thorn in OSU's side in recruiting (not just 1-2 kids here or there).
Damn it Josh! Way to rain on the parade... :smash:

edit: They've already shut us out of TE's in Ohio. It will be painful if they get a competent coach. I'm going to be rooting for NoD. Excuse me while I go throw up.

. it will give two big ten teams a chance to be in BCS

A scenario which no longer excites me. I am tired of seeing the Big Ten teams get moved up a Bowl-notch to face tougher opponents only to see us win only one or two of those games.

Let's win the Big Ten, go to the Rose, and let PSU and company join us in a rash of Big Ten victories.

And let's keep Charlie at ND till fat goes to $200 a pound and they slaughter him to fund more scholarships.
