No spin at all from me, Charlie should have been fired IMO, but I also feel that race had nothing to do with Ty's firing.

I agree....ND saw an amazing opportunity in the coaching carousel, but unfortunately for them, got the wrong guy.

Bottom line, Ty didn't meet the expectations. How ridiculous those expectations are is another discussion....

No one has said Weis himself is racist, only that the powers that be at ND appear to be...

The 2009 Notre Dame Football Schedule:

Sept. 5 NEVADA

Sept. 12 at Michigan

Sept. 19 MICHIGAN STATE

Sept. 26 at Purdue

Oct. 3 WASHINGTON

Oct. 10 Open Date

Oct. 17 USC

Oct. 24 BOSTON COLLEGE

Oct. 31 vs. Washington State (at San Antonio, Texas)

Nov. 7 NAVY

Nov. 14 at Pittsburgh


Michigan will have a freshman QB and a brand new D line. Michigan State will ot have Jevon Ringer, Purdue will have a new coach and QB. He should be five and oh and heading into an open date before geting smashed by USC. He gets BC in South Bend and then plays Wazoo in TEXAS(!!!) If you can't count eight wins in that line up you're not trying.

Those first 2 games will decide id he goes Faust. Nevada isn't a total pushover, and going into the Shithouse isn't easy exactly (especially for a mediocre team with a QB who gets rattled), even when they suck. If he drops either of those, he's in trouble. Have to figure the Washingtons are wins, but otherwise, depending on how those first 2 games go, they could STILL struggle.

I can count 8 wins if I'm trying, but I can just as easily count 5-6 losses.
