Well the dude basically had to give the football team an enema after Mack Brown was fired. I imagine that probably takes longer than three years to fix. Plus there were a lot of rumblings that Strong never really had the backing he needed to succeed.

Strong never had the backing to succeed because he was never the first choice, a lot like Rich Rod and Brady Hoke. Whether the guy you get is a grand slam or not is sometimes less important than letting the boosters catch wind that you settled on your third, fourth, or fifth choice because bigger names turned you down.

I really hope Herman tells Texas "Thanks, but no thanks". Those arrogant pricks think they can get anyone they want just by picking up the phone. "Tremendous pressure to fire Strong and hire Herman" indeed. Have you even talked to Herman about wether he's interested?

I am a Husker Fan....I am drinking in the tears of sorrow coming from the city of Austin right now.
I am looking at the dumpster fire and roasting marshmallows over it...
I am looking at the freshly marked grave of what was Texas Football, and am pissing on it right now...
That rant....such butthurt....damn, that made me feel pretty good. Might have to go to Texas, find a dog, and kick the hell outta that Texas dog...
