What really makes him so good on Two and a half men is that he is substantially playing himself....

Charlie Harper....has sex with multiple woman and hookers
Charlie Sheen....same...check

Charlie Harper....has a drinking addiction
Charlie Sheen....same and add in the drug problem...check

Charlie Harper....has an adversion to serious relationships (always end badly)
Charlie Sheen....same and add in now the dumb bast#^d has kids that are dragged through his mess...check

Charlie Harper....has a parent who could give two craps about him
Charlie Sheen....Martin Sheen "nuff said"...check

Charlie Harper....has or is in the process of suffering though a mid-life crisis
Charlie Sheen.......check

Charlie Harper....has a boatload of money while doing a job that requires a minimum of work on his part (jingle song writer)
Charlie Sheen.......makes $1.8 million an eposide and admits that he frequently late on non-money days and wants a raise to $3 mil....check

I could play myself also but I doubt if I will recieve $1.8 million or be quite as entertaining as Mr. Sheen....:biggrin:

Exactly. He's flipped the script from him being the cheesy CBS sitcom star in a network contract dispute, to being this kind of legendary sex-drugs-party icon flipping off The Man. Two and a Half Men may have gotten some huge ratings and made him a ton of money, but it was one of the hackiest top-comedies ever and was just killing Charlie Sheen's good-times reputation by anesthetizing it in the character of Charlie Harper.

I have always liked Charlie Sheen, the main reason was I do enjoy most of the movies he has been in and the fact he doesn't give a rats ass about what people think.

And Muck, I do think what has happened the past week has been mostly planned. It is sneaky smart. He can be himself AND endear himself to everyone.

But overall this has been a fun ride. Started with telling the UCLA baseball team to "Stay away from the crack, drink chocolate milk" and then going on Dan Patrick which he was funny as hell.

Then I think the light bulb went on in his head. Hey, I can just tell it like it is and enjoy myself and everyone will eat this up. All I know is he is making himself a SHITLOAD of money off this. Even if he gets shitcanned from Two and a Half Men, his next TV project will pay him TONS of money and he will probably get some movie roles. He just has to strike now while the iron is hot.
