I've really enjoyed listening to the coaches they've had in for the studio shows. They've all brought the goods so far. I've particularly liked Phil Martelli of St. Joseph's. He had a lot of good insights early yesterday on zone defenses.

I don't think Charles was brought in to provide any "expert analysis." He is there for sheer entertainment value and you have to admit, he fills that role well. Last night: "I have one last comment. TNT, please, please don't play Speed 2 again after the game tonight. Please." :lol:

Actually it was "Kill Bill 2."

I laughed at that as well.

Charles did open Thursday's telecast with these words:

"The Big East is overrated."

Three days later, 7 of their 11 bids are out including a 1 seed. He got that much right, even though he had that 1 seed in his final four.

Damn, I initially put TBS and then changed it to TNT...my memory is turning to mush. He discussed Speed 2 before Kill Bill Vol. 2. The Chuck-wagon approves of Kill Bill Vol. 1, but thinks they should have stopped at Vol. 1.

Chuck's quotes during his DUI arrest in 2009 are the best though:

According to the officer who wrote the report, "He told me that he ran the stop sign because he was in a hurry to pick up the girl I saw get in the passenger seat."

The officer continues: "He asked me to admit that she was 'hot.' He asked me, 'You want the truth?' When I told him I did he said, 'I was gonna drive around the corner and get a b**w job. And, in simply amazing Tommy Boy fashion, Barkley allegedly extended the offer to "tattoo my name on your ass" towards a civilian police employee at the police station if he could sneak out of the DUI, which he quickly (I suppose) corrected.
