Ain't just Beck... it's Warriner too. They need to go and if they don't I'm done. I'll always root for the Buckeyes but I will have zero horse in the race so to speak when it comes to expectations.I would love it if Cardale just came straight out with it. He knows WAY better than us how bad Beck sucks ass, especially since he has now received NFL type coaching. I am sure now from where he sits he really understands just how fucking bad Beck is at coaching the position.

Don't often see a former player saying [Mark May] like this. I'm with d lee!
Disagree entirely. The kids showed up for the most part. The gameplan almost single-handily lost us this game. I've never seen a worse gameplan.
I must really be missing what we are talking about. Are you saying Dabo is saying because our coaching staff sucks on offense kids want to quit or is it that our staff has unrealistic expectations of our players? What players have quit so far? As far as I recall when Urban came we were soft physically and mentally and a lot of the players had been coddled which led to some of the shit we got in trouble for.I mean if you're going to act tough and be this dude who draws lines in the sand you better fucking make changes when you need them. Should have saw last year how disfunctional we were and made a change but because of sheer talent we made it to the playoffs this year. I'm getting tired of hearing this tough talk but ZERO tough action
I was going back through some of my posts from last year. Urban is an absolute legend, but he's now facing a credibility crisis with his own players. You can't talk the talk about a high performance culture and keep people like Beck around. It's toxic to the commitment you're asking of players. I posted this last January - am I wrong, or does the offensive tape stick out like a sore thumb?
"Was going back through Urban's book earlier tonight and transcribing notes from the pages I'd dogeared - this paragraph stuck out. Remind me again why this guy is still here?
"If players are going to make the big push to join the elites, they need to believe it will be worth it. It’s important to remind them of the quality of leadership at Ohio State - let them know they are being taught by masters of their craft who have made a significant difference in other players’ lives. I make sure that my assistant coaches showcase the achievements of other great players they have worked with. Visuals such as videos and images are incredible tools to convey a message. It may not seem like a big deal, but these sorts of associations are important. It’s not about bragging. It’s about reinforcing that this is a special place that has produced special players. It’s about motivating the 80 percenters. When I walk into my own office and I see championship trophies, photos with presidents, keepsakes, and mementos and clippings of the Heisman Trophy finalists and winners I’ve coached, I feel good. If a prospective recruit is motivated by wanting to be part of that club, well, that makes me feel good, too."
We all remember what Zeke said last year - plus Taylor Decker (first minute):
These are Buckeye legends who are going to come around campus for decades to come. Think about how awkward it would be for them to publicly blast a coach knowing he's going to be there when they return - you only do that when you feel incredibly strongly. The good news is Urban's built a culture where people feel that level of ownership - the bad news is that is at risk the longer you keep people around that step on all the hard work the players put in. Beck doesn't belong. He'd lost the players last year, and did nothing but cement their suspicions this year.
Sounds like Urban's saying the right things post-game today - but he said similar things (first 6 minutes + 15:25 in: ) about it "not being a part of our history, and not happening again" last year. I hope this time it's backed up by action.
We didn't have a coherent plan because our co-OC's are incompetent. I would love to be a fly on the wall of the meetings where they came up with that shit sandwich. Dollars to donuts they were playing Jenga.I'm still not sure what the gameplan was. We avoided almost everything that Clemson had shown weaknesses against in the regular season until it was too late to matter.
It was to baffle the fuck out of everyone and run the ball on basically no plays. We went Texas Tech on them and we don't have those type of horses.I'm still not sure what the gameplan was. This section ... Wow. Curtis might be a first round talent if he builds on this next year. Brown could be a mid rounder if healthy and in a different offense. We just saw a Mock Draft that had three of our receivers, Samuel but also Noah and Campbell, being first round draft picks. How many touches did Parris get? He is a play maker.
Weber didn't even get 10 fucking carries so I don't know how you could say he was awful. I know he had a couple of fumbles but he was one of the few bright spots. Almost every carry he was getting at least 5 yards. I thought the O-line held up decently considering Jordan had to leave the game. They were giving JT time and their run blocking seemed okay the handful of times we actually called a run. How many times did the staff fucking run sideline-to-sideline despite the fact that most of our yards came from up the middle? How many shots deep did we take in the first 3 and half quarters? Durbin didn't have his finest game but, considering we barely even got to the red zone, I'm not going to be too hard on him.Game plan was horrible. Game plans have been horrible all year. Tonight the offense was a complete no-show. OL, Weber, Barrett, Durbin were awful. Even the usually reliable Samuel and Noah Brown dropped easy passes. Defense made some big plays, but also had plenty of breakdowns, which I suppose was to be expected when the offense does nothing and you're on the field all night long.
Bad coaching, bad execution, bad result.
Where was Urbs during the game planning? Could he have really believed running lateral and these cutesy plays were going to work against their defense? This is the same shit calling we saw all year. No rythmn, no tempo, no quick slants, no TE involvement, nothing different at all. So the gameplan was let's wing it with the same shit we always bring? We didn't have a coherent plan because our co-OC's are incompetent. I would love to be a fly on the wall of the meetings where they came up with that [Mark May] sandwich. Dollars to donuts they were playing Jenga.
Predated by yet another humiliating defensive performance, forcing wholesale defensive changes.2014, necessary change happened that brought it all together. Need that again.
