CFP Playoff Committee justs makes s#!t up

It will be interesting to see if the committee puts 1-loss Oregon ahead of FSU for the #3 spot, assuming all the favorites win.
I know it's not rationale, but it's real. I really do think that if one 1-loss team gets in, they committee will bend over backwards to see that it's Texas Is Back. Oregon would deserve it: tougher conference, better marquee win and better loss, but the networks want what the networks want.

They didn't but they ended up getting the layup in the Final. It's so frustrating how these SEC teams seem to always have the most favorable shit happen for them.
Well, the alternative to TCU getting into the final was tcun with Stalions and his laminated sheets getting in. We might be watching those cheating fucks going for their second straight NC. I don't like watching the SEC! win, but there were worse scenarios last year.

I don't think scUM was beating UGA last year even with their cheat sheets.

They definitely aren't beating UGA this year without them though if it come downs to it.

There are some interesting scenarios if there are huge upsets in the SEC or B1G CCGs.

If Iowa gets 3 non-offensive TDs and stuns tCun, there could be zero B1G teams.

1. UGA
2. Washington/Oregon winner or FSU
3. FSU or Wash/Oregon winner
4, CCG winner Texas with a win at Bama

If Iowa and Bama both win:

1. Wash/Oregon winner or FSU
2. FSU or Wash/Oregon winner
3. Texas
4. Bama, with a CCG win and head-to-head over UGA

tCun gets to play later, so they’ll know where they stand, except for FSU, which is also late on Saturday.

I think Michigan is the favorite, IMO. Georgia Tech was able to run it down UGA's throat on Saturday night and I don't think Tech and Michigan's run games are even comparable. I think Michigan seeing UGA (2) years ago is also an important step they were able to take. It's a rude awakening to face an elite team like that, but the program then see's where the best teams play at, and take steps to replicate what they saw.

And lastly, Michigan starts (16) players who are 22 years old or older. That's a huge advantage over a team like UGA that has maintained their program in a similar way to pre-covid......meaning UGA still works in young talent AND they do not have a ton of seniors, as their elite players are gone after 3 years (similar to OSU). This is a nice window Michigan is in for 2023.....they need to pay it off before the descent next year that is looming.

Bama and UGA were both sleep walking against their bum rivals on Saturday.

I know we hate that excuse getting made for them, but it was what it was. Those games have zero effect on what will happen in the SEC title game or ultimately in the playoff though.

UGA in the playoff would turn it on though, you wouldn't get that same meh effort you got against Ga Tech.

I think scUMs effort against us is probably the best you are going to get from them.

UGA isn't as good as last year or the year before, but they still have enough in the tank that i'm confident that they'd beat scUM.

I don't think scUM even gets past the semi final though. Unless Bama ends up beating UGA and scUM gets the fortunate FSU matchup in the 1st round (seeing that FSU beats Louisville) think FSU is getting slotted in that 4th spot regardless what else happens if they get past Louisville.

I would like to see tCun, if they’re #2, have to face a #3 Oregon squad.

There’s definitely Ohio State “fatigue”….its a bit unfortunate bc by resume, this team should be right there. Had we not gone so many times previously, I think the public narrative would be that the loss in Ann Arbor proves we are a top 4 team.

This year, the narrative is it was disqualifying.

I agree OSU doesn’t look as strong as years past (bc QB play is average). But resume wise, this is the strongest 1 loss team we’ve had.

OSU has made the CFP twice without even playing in their CCG. Got destroyed the first time and looked like they didn't belong there. Last year was a much better performance but it was still another semifinal loss. Will they get the benefit of the doubt a third time?

I think a lot will have to happen for OSU to make it, and I don't expect it will. Too many things have to go our way.
