FSU was an undefeated power conference champion.

This is a sports playoff, and TV ratings matter more than the integrity of the game. Any undefeated conference champion should get in over teams with losses who didn't win the conference. End of story. The committee told us everything - TV ratings > games played. I care less about CFB with each passing year due to shit like this.

Luckily we'll have a real playoff next year. Someone will still get fucked, but it won't be an undefeated conference champ.

Yes, FSU was on their 3rd string QB last night and he looked like shit. But the second stringer who was out with a concussion will be playing the bowl, and he looked pretty damn good against a not terrible Florida defense.

Which makes what Cardale Jones do years ago all that more remarkable.

Zero sympathy for Free Shoes. If they had beaten Louisville 35-0 they would be in. But they didn't. I could care less how "crushed" their QB is.

It's possible their head coach intentionally went with conservative game plan to guarantee a win thinking they were in the playoff no matter what. I have a feeling once Ohio State went up by 2-3 scores against Wisconsin, that Urban piled it on knowing that was their chance to get into the playoff.

Yes but their 2nd stringer was just out a week for a concussion. They won a conference championship game with a 3rd string qb throwing for 55yds. Impressive team win imo.

Bama had to throw a hail Mary to beat a 6 win auburn team

Ohio State crushed a 13th ranked Wisconsin 59-0 with their third string QB. FSU beat a 14th ranked Louisville 16-6 with their third string QB that was hitting the D-line in the side of the head with passes. Their most productive plays from the QB position were from the wildcat position from somebody not their third string QB. Completely different situations.
