I do think his lowering of his helmet was the difference in the game. We knew with the ttun game that the defense wasn't the same without him there. Plus the free TD.Loss of Wade was the difference.....defense completely different once he was ejected
Got ejected for playing football. Peak 2019.
Targeting needs a major overhaul and everyone knows it. No one should be getting ejected for a first targeting call unless it was malicious and intended to injure. It was 50/50 to me. My biggest issue is ejection is way too penal for a play he didn’t intend to happen.
Did he lower his crown? Yeah.
Did Lawrence, who is 6’6”, and towers over Wade dip down and put his head in Shaun’s strike zone? Absolutely.
If Lawrence stays upright, Wade actually strikes him in shoulder/chest area and no targeting is called.
The ejection is ridiculous. 15 yards and a flag is plenty. The NFL understands this. It’s unfortunate college has drawn this line in the sand.
But Shaun is special. What will always eat at me is how the defense had played to that point (shutting Clemson out) and how well the secondary was playing and confusing Lawrence. As soon as he leaves game, it just handcuffs what Hafley and Mattison can do....not a knock on Amir or Proctor, but they don’t bring what Wade does....and it largely changes what our coordinators can call.

Got to learn to hug the QB not hit. Also sucks because these are college kids playing this game for free while the NCAA makes millions and Wade just got his last college game taken away from him
i 100% disagree with your stupid opinion. we need to treat involuntary manslaughter the same as first degree murder. It was 50/50 to me. My biggest issue is ejection is way too penal for a play he didn’t intend to happen.

Fact: the princess’s play of the game was laying on his back and crying.Third, if Lawrence pops up right away it likely isn't reviewed.
