CB Nate Clements (All B1G, NFL Pro Bowl)

Even if the Browns drop 8 mill on Nate a year, I'm all for it. On a shaky team like that, there is nothing like adding a CONSISTENT, healthy talent of Nate's caliber. A Buckeye to boot...with many years left in the league.

I wouldn't be surprised if they match any price. We'll see.

Clements fits in Browns scheme

INDIANAPOLIS Cornerback Nate Clements covers wideouts like a blanket and fits Cleveland like a glove.

Dick Jauron rues the thought of Clements setting up camp in any home where the Buffalo Bills don't roam. No matter. Look for Nate to skate.

"He really played well last season," Jauron, the Bills head coach, said of Clements, who will hit the free agent market at 12:01 a.m. March 2. "He'd already made a name for himself, but he stepped it up. ... He played at a really high level."

The Browns have to overpay to get players. Nobody wants to go there, unless they're from the Cleveland area. In order to get the free agents that they want, they need to overpay for their players. It's just something you have to do until you can change the mindset that this is a loser place to be.

That is an understatement!
