I just respect the hell out of these young men...I always loved the way Malik Hooker handled interviews this year I thought I was watching a 10-year NFL vet. Its clear Marshon is really doing his due diligence and thinking this decision through. I can almost guarantee I would not be nearly as thoughtful about such a lucrative choice to go to the NFL and I think Ohio State is everything.

Most boards and rankings that I have seen have him as the 4th or 5th CB to be taken. No idea where people are getting this "top ten" and "1st corner" stuff. He has the skills I'll agree but all of this stuff is subjective and if he's going to go outside top 15, he has a chance to improve that if he stays, while also accomplishing other things.

I respect the hell out of him for thinking about staying. Football is only 50% work right now and 50% play so there's that to think about as well. Got to be a kid as long as humanly possible.

Yeah I've been seeing late first or early second too... he wasn't our best corner this year either so he has a chance to shine next year if he comes back. Also he's going to be rested and most likely Sat the entire spring and fall camp if he stays too. So we aren't going to run him into the ground if he does stay.

Why would you think that outside of injury history? I'd assume if he's healthy he practices, otherwise how is he developing and how are the receivers developing optimally?

Regardless, best of luck regardless of the decision. This seems like a difficult one, there is Room for raising (or lowering) draft location significantly and a year with his buddy smith but is that worth a lost year in compensation and the injury risk? I don't think there is cut and dry right or wrong choice.

Look at the stats man... he gave up more receptions and TD'S then Gareon.

ABC posted the stats during the scum game and Conley was a more effective corner.

I think Lattimores talent projects better to the NFL and marshon has a much higher ceiling but I do think Conley was our best. That's not a slight on Marshon either as he's a bad ass but our entire secondary was great

It's a good debate but you can't go by stats for CB's, and especially in college where the difference between the #1 and #2 WR is typically a pretty large gap. I'm not going to dig up the tape to figure it out but I'd want to know how often Marshon had the top assignment because if it was the majority of the time, that explains the difference in stats you see.

Yeah I agree... but more often the not when we started shadowing the top WR it fell on Conley to do so.

Lattimore's gotta go, not even close to being a question if he's my kid. Great year and he got past the injury bug stigma, but if he stays and has any issue, hamstring or otherwise, it will come back hard. His draft position isn't going to get much better with another year and potentially could crash. Gotta go, bro.
