Daytona Beach (Fla.) Seabreeze cornerback prospect James Scott dropped a bombshell at his team's football banquet Sunday night. Scott took that opportunity to announce his verbal commitment to Ohio State. He becomes OSU's 13th verbal for 2007. Click this free link for more.

By the way, if you're bored, you might want to head over to the Florida Scout site. They're having a meltdown after losing both Rolle and Scott to OSU this week.

He has all the tools to be a great corner here...

I am so excited that we landed him, he is the next Antoine Winfield, physical play like a safety and the hips to cover. The only downfall could be height in terms of taller receivers out jumping him, but in a situation like that I see him playing more of the Yao Smith role and playing the nickel back some and not being locked up with those receivers and putting him in a bad matchup.

Also I think Florida fans are really going to hate us over the next month if we get the clean sweep of Rolle, Scott, and Wright and then beat them in bball and football.:biggrin:

In the first battle of the national championship game, the Ohio State Buckeyes landed the first blow. In a decision that brought audible gasps from the hundreds in attendance Sunday night, Seabreeze star defensive back James Scott announced he will be attending Ohio State, not Florida, next fall.
