CB Eli Apple (All B1G, National Champion, Los Angeles Chargers)

That's what his half-brother Dane Blackson is quoted as saying; however, it also says: Blackson, 27, (and Devion, 24,) haven't spoken to Eli or Annie in months. So just maybe, he doesn't really know what Eli's current living arrangement are and/or not reporting it accurately.

But is it fair to say they knew they shared a condo at some point in his post-collegiate career? If so, she needs to GTFO and let him become a man.

Yeah, I’m impressing my value system and all, I get that. But, anyone here agree that a post collegiate young man should share a condo with his mom when he’s clearly capable of paying by his own way?

Yeah, didn’t think so.

Collins is a fucking pussy way to show leadership asshole. Go to the media and talk [Mark May]. Cry about your arm and how 12 gauge took your manhood in the sugar bowl you gump mother fucker.

Whatever could you be referring to?

But seriously...seems like Eli has some work to do off the field. That being said, the Giants are about the biggest dumpster fire imaginable and the entire organization is cannibalizing itself. Head coach benches Eli, states he is there for life, head coach gets fired, Eli back at the helm, players can't shut the fuck up about anything. So I am taking this all with a metric grain of salt. Maybe Eli just needs to become a Manning and he will start next week.

Nice speech Landon Collin's agent/PR from the Giants...I still think you are a baby bitch for so many reasons other than this event, but this event confirms it.
Everyone is slamming the wrong person. Is Collins our bitch? Yes. Was it in bad taste to come with things to the media? Probably. However is Eli a cancer? Yes no question.

So disappointed in Eli and his trajectory. He needs to ditch the leach that is his mom, get well with his step father, and shut up and play football because he's embarrassing himself.

New York sports drama is the best.

Eli's stormed out of a team meeting because he couldn't handle criticism of his performance. He called Landon Collins a liar after Collins had said that he and the veterans on the secondary were trying to help him. He tweeted a video of Rod Smith's game-sealing TD from the Cowboys/Giants game a couple weeks ago, which he didn't play in. A lot of people on the team thought he was the one who talked to whatever ESPN NFL gossip reporter earlier in the season about McAdoo losing the lockerroom and players quitting. Now he's suspended for refusing to play on the scout team and getting into a fight with a coach.

Pretty sure Landon Collins isn't the problem here.

Couple all of that with the Freudian shitshow going on with his mother and the fact that prior to this season he's known nothing but praise and success his entire career, and this screams to me that he's an overly entitled kid who doesn't know how to handle adversity and probably still has mom in his ear telling him he can do no wrong. Oedipus needs to get his balls out of Annie's purse and learn how to handle his responsibilities before he loses more money.

I am of the opinion that the guy who goes to the media calling teammates cancer is the *actual* cancerous teammate.

I'm certainly not going to argue the point re: the stupidity of airing dirty laundry from the locker room in the press, but if the many reports about Apple's behavior are true, then he's been a pretty awful teammate in his short time with the Giants. At this point, it seems all would agree that the parties should move on separately, and I hope that whatever has caused these alleged problems with Apple's behavior are quickly resolved--I suspect he'll get a second shot, but I doubt he'll get a third.

Overbearing or not, i just don't see how this is on Annie and not Eli. No ones saying his mom is a cancer to the team.....he's a grown man and should be held accountable for his actions, regardless of whether or not he lives with his mom.

I think the whole point is that he's a boy in a grown man's body because he's been coddled too much by his mother.

Hey, the league has given second shots to players with criminal records; and Eli Apple is just accused of being a bad teammate. If he can play, teams will give him a second shot, probably a 3rd or 4th too.
