Doran Grant, the top-rated cornerback by recruiting website Rivals.com, was one of the MSU targets on campus for a visit this past weekend. Grant was at the men's basketball game against Bowling Green on Saturday.
The Akron native and St. Vincent-St. Mary High product is the highest-rated prospect on the Spartans' board - even more so since Saginaw High wide receiver DeAnthony Arnett committed to Tennessee on Nov. 12.
Grant's father is Ted Jones, a former Spartan wide receiver who played for MSU from 1980-82.

By Berk...hosted by LeVeon Bell and says it went great...says it's dead even between MSU and OSU and talks about being recruited by two coaches who are friends.
Could this be the year OSU is the hot name going into the all-star games and NLOID? Stay tuned...

Doran Grant (Akron, Ohio/Saints Vincent and Mary)
Ht.: 5-11 | Wt.: 177 | ESPNU 150: 66 | CB rank: 3 | Stars: 4 | Highlights
College: Considering Ohio State, Michigan State, USC and others.
Breakdown: Grant is playmaking corner with great quickness, athleticism and awareness skills. Although he has a slight frame for a corner, he will come down hard on perimeter run support and effectively set the edge.

Doran needs to see if tOSU seems as right as MSU did last weekend. He may visit PSU and/or Michigan but USC is out.
