I would be shocked if Ward isn't bumped up in the rankings to at least a high 3-star, if not a 4-star, when it is all said and done. Almost every recruiting service has admitted they probably have him rated a little low.

Definitely an under the radar commit that with some extra work in college can become a special player. Some mentoring and work on technique will go a long way because you just can't teach the speed he has

Who stood out for Nordonia
Ward: As usual, Ward's speed was too much for the opposing defense to handle. He had 165 receiving yards, including the 64-yard touchdown catch that was a result of him winning a foot race.

Three Ohio State commits get rankings adjustments
Denzel Ward is a player that I've been high on since seeing him at the Best of the Midwest Combine. He's got elite athleticism but he's really translated that into plays on the field as a senior. Ward is having a monster senior season and I see a lot of Justin Gilbert - the former Oklahoma State corner and first round draft pick - in Ward's game. Ward moves up from an 89-rated three-star on 247Sports to inside the Top247 as a 92-rated four-star.

I'm sure most of us knew he was quite underrated to begin with. Glad to see he's getting his props. He may need a year in the S&C program, but his raw athleticism should be molded great by Coach Ash.
