Speaking of Nick Buoniconti and 1975, on Jan. 1st of that year I happened to see Buoniconti as we were walking out of the Rose Bowl in the same small crowd.Weird thing about that to me was that the Miami Dolphin Killer Bs from just a few years earlier included an undersized linebacker named Buoniconti (RIP). Both our Buonamici and their Buoniconti had the first name Nick.
Burke is turning in one of the best performances I've seen from a true freshman here. I think I've said it before, but playing at the level he is at corner for a true freshman is just ridiculous. Kind of funny looking back and wondering why he was starting in Week 1 not knowing what the coaches already knew.
The Game is where legends are made!Excellent news, the only real concern I had was if DB wasn't healthy for The Game. I've said it before, but he is maybe the most important piece of our defense at this point. Hoping he turns in a legendary freshman performance, maybe just have him shadow Olave all week for notes.
