Assuming Sheffield goes, you have Okudah, Arnette, Wade, Fuller, White. That's a stellar group.Nice! I know he hasn't been as good as we've all hoped, but having him back cant really be a bad thing, right?

Really smart move by Damon. This will allow him to get school finished and have his degree and also improve his draft stock.Smart decision....he can really improve his draft stock with a good season. Hopefully NFL coaching in the back-end really takes to him. This could be a Jeff Hafley resurrection project that pays off in spades for Damon.
I think Arnette has been a bit better than some people think, or at least has the tools. He's unique for his size in terms of the thump he brings and his physicality. Unfortunately, he had a few gaffes last year in terms of run fit and leverage. I think that can be cleaned up. But in terms of defense, and how so many teams are going to spread offenses, he has a unique skill-set as a corner who can come up and help in run defense. If he strings together a strong senior season, I think he can absolutely play on Sunday's with the increased emphasis on DB's who can support in run defense.
It's great to see former greats already thank Ryan Day. I would love to see Ryan really push for former players to be around our guys.Apparently, they've not identified their fall guys yet?
Too soon?
Edit: I do think it's cool that CC is playing that role. It's always good to have been there / done that in year ear.
Why would Arnette and Sheffield cause problems for Okudah and Wade? IMO, the best will play, regardless of the name on the back of the jersey. Who cares who started last year when a new coach is brought in, there's no loyalty there.I'll say this: my preferred situation would have been Sheffield coming back and Arnette going pro since I do think both guys coming back could cause issues for 2 extremely talented guys in Okudah and Wade. Having said that, I'd absolutely rather have Arnette come back than have both guys leaving early. We know Okudah/Wade are dudes, but we can't say with certainty that Williamson/Banks are.
The only question I have is with Hafley, if Williamson/Banks ARE better than Arnette, will they make Arnette the 4th/5th corner? I'd feel pretty crappy if that happened, but it's in the realm of possibilities.
True, but we also have 13, 15 and 21 to work with as wellWell also... we didn't take a DB in 2019.... We need the depth
Can't play just 1 and 24 all year.
