CB Chimdi Chekwa (Official Thread)

Everything I have read has pointed to AJ being recruited at WR with the ability to play both ways at some point. I dont think this affects his recruitment at all, sounds it affects others but not AJ.

quite honestly, i think it does say something about where AJ is going. After reading what osugrad21 said in the AJ Wallace thread, saying that AJ is a silent verbal to PSU, made the staff want other options and so we got another great player from the state of Florida. hopefully i am wrong about AJ because he is going to be a great player regardless of where he goes, but i think it may be pretty much a done deal with him

just watched the video. im not really in awe over him but i most definitely see great potential in him. his speed is impressive and he has a frame that we can easily build on. he seems to play very intelligently and he seems that way in the classroom too. i expect him to have a very bright future and love his instincts.

Look at his track numbers. this kid has a burner. the fact that he runs the 300 hurdles tells me he has balance and strength too. Will he be a big hitter against a back like Hart or Penn State's big backs? That will be the big test, but right now this kid sounds like a keeper.

let's hope that those RBs you mentioned, do not get in to tOSU secondary that often. Our D-line and LBs take care of em before that.

Please help me out here guys. What I am seeing on the other bigger networks is that he runs a 4.7 Was timed at the Tallahassee nike event at 4.67 in the 40. Not particularly physical (just shy of 6') and 165lbs.

At the Tampa event he ran a 4.69

I dont want to be misconscrewed as being a hater but frankly, I dont see the sense in the offer. Scout ranks him 2*'s, Rivals 3. OSU is BY FAR the best offer he had.

I wish he well and we know he can be a diamond in the rough but Im growing concerned with this years recruiting trend
