If the Cavs continue to gel with all the new players they have and once they get Newble back you'd have to think they're only going to get better. Also, with Miami playing the way they are and Indiana not being consistent losing games Atlanta and Charlotte like they have already this season. Cleveland could not only get the four seed, but they could sneak into the third or maybe second seed and get home court for the first two rounds. The important thing is to keep getting better, this season is just the beginning of what the Cavs could with LeBron in the regular season and playoffs. Hopefully, much like when the Bulls started making the playoffs in the mid to late 80's with Jordan.

Well the Cavs sure played well enough to win down the stretch, but not well enough. They were going on quick spurts and when LBJ tied it up with about a minute left I figured they would be able to finish the game out.

Well they forced Minny into a horrible shot, that Garnett was able to make. Then they came down and Donyell Marshall took a up and under shot from about 17 ft. WTF. Give the ball to LBJ or Hughes. Marshall was 0-8 at that point.

I loved LBJ's three with about 5 seconds left over Garnett, but Hudson made the free throws and iced the game. We had a horrible game from the bench as they only had about 9 pts. I think. We have to get better production than that.

Well lets take out the Clips next and move to 10-4. The last time we had a 2 game losing streak we realed off 8 straight wins.

Nice to be the lead story on sportscenter, but can they beat a real team on the road is still the question?

We'll see how they play against these same Clippers on Saturday. The game at the Queens on Tuesday is the easiest looking game of the next five. If the Cavs can't play well on the road this next week will be ugly.

Marshall and Jones need to heat up. Hughes is doing a good job drawing fouls, but it would be nice if he could finish some of the baskets for 3 point plays. Of course the scoring wouldn't matter as much if the Cavs would start playing better D like Brown wants. There is a nice article on the Yahoo NBA page about this.

How many times did they get to the free throw line last night?

I'm a big critic of officiating in the NBA. My feeling has always been that the officials will just guess, if it is a close call. If it looks like there was a foul, maybe they'll call it one.... if its a foul on the home team. Keep an eye on this. This may be one of the reasons why the Cavs have struggled so mightily on the road.

Watch on Saturday and see the free throw difference from last night. I bet it's the opposite, this time going for the Clippers.

Although you wouldn't be able to tell from the past 2 home games the Cavs biggest offensive problem on the road is that shots don't fall. I swear teams like Indy and the Spurs can loosen up whatever rim they are shooting at so more shots go in. It just seem like few of the Cavs shots fall on the road. The Clippers didn't have that problem during the first quarter last night. It's all about defense and shooting for the Cavs. If they work hard at D and their shots go down they will win.

I think a lot of this has to do with, playing with more energy at home, they seem to be a little lacadasical on the road and fall away and different things than what they do at home, I think with a little more concentration and some confidence they will be ok.
