Gotta hold serve at home the next two games and avoid falling into another slump. This has got to be the toughest team in the league to figure out.

Well they are not hard to figure out, You just have to look at the leader and see that he is 21 years old. That will cause a bunch of up and down streaks.

Tonite, was just kind of a who cares game, adn Miami really wanted it. We were coming off back to back and going to Miami.

We did show a glimpse of hope after being down 28 we brought it to with in 9 but I think we spent so much energy coming back tghat when they stretched it out to 15 we kind of fell apart and they stretch it to 30 real fast.

I think we will be ready for Philly on the weekend.

Up and down streaks? Sure. But they showed a graphic earlier in the game that said it all:

9-2
2-7
9-2
0-6
7-0

Should I be predicting another cold streak if they are that easy to figure out?

Well when you look at alot of those losing streaks the loses came on the road, or the road loses are what started them.

I hope they don't lose against Philly as I will be there.

Just think if they would of just went .500 in the bad streaks they could be 32-13 after tonite.

That would be a great record.

Instead the are 27-18 which is not bad at all, and I think this team has unlimited potential to be great.

I mean our last 7 games we have been without argubaly our best onball defender and a 15 pt a nite guy.

I'm not going to take it too hard until I see how they play on Saturday. Tonight the Heat played like they are the second best team in the East and the Cavs played like they just played a ball buster of a game the previous night (4th game in the past 5 nights) and had to fly 2.5 hours afterward and didn't get to sleep until sometime after 3. How many of you think the game would have gone the same way tonight if it was in the Q, the Cavs hadn't played since Monday, and the Heat had just played the Nets at home the night before? Personally I don't think Shaq, Morning, and Payton will hold up well in the 4th game in 5 nights.
The Cavs are already down their second or third best player so when Z got hurt for most of the first half much of their offense went with him. I was impressed that the Cavs got the 28 pt lead down to 9 before they got worn out. If Brown could do it over again he probably would have subbed in Wilks and Jackson as soon as the Cavs run ended to give them a boost off of the bench and rest a couple of the starters for another run.
The game tonight would have been hard to win in any circumstance so I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. Rest tomorrow and come back strong against the 76ers. That's all we can ask.
I just hope Z's finger isn't going to affect him very much. I know when he had finger problems at the end of last season it really screwed up his shot. It seems like the right middle finger is one of the main shooting fingers.

That is where I'd to see them get to. This team has been ready to take the next step since this time last year. I'm not suggesting that I expect this team to compete for the title this year. But a little consistency would aleviate my fears that this team could pull a tank job like they did last year. I don't have that comfort level yet.

And the reality is that we could only have Lebron for a couple more years. So there is a sense of urgency to take that next step this season and show that this team is ready to be a title contender next year. It's a lot to ask of a young team, but if Lebron leaves, the Cavs leave. It's that simple.

EDIT: I just want to see this team avoid another major slump. This loss was understandable. But they really need to recover and hold serve at home. Most teams in the NBA struggle on the road, but you must beat the inferior teams at home.

First off LBJ isnt going anywhere.

Second the team is much better than last year, especially when Hughes gets back. We lost a major part of our team and we still rattled off a 7 game win streak.

Do you remember last year when we had Jmac. Now that was funny looking back on it.

This year we have depth and as long as we stay healthy and Brown uses his whole team and doesnt wear the team down much like Silas did last year we should be ok.

That is why I love to see Varejao, Jackson, and Wilks get minutes.

MIAMI (AP) — Cleveland coach Mike Brown leaned against the white concrete wall outside his team's locker room, getting asked about the Miami Heat's big scoring run that helped send his Cavaliers to their worst loss of the season.

"Which time?" was Brown's reply.

And that was the problem. Miami's first run wasn't enough to doom the Cavaliers — but the Heat's second burst certainly finished the job.

The Heat used a 22-0 first-half run to build a lead, then went on a 19-1 burst in the fourth quarter to seal their 101-73 win over Cleveland on Thursday night, snapping the Cavaliers' seven-game winning streak.

Dwyane Wade had 24 points and six assists and Shaquille O'Neal had 21 points and eight rebounds for Miami, which moved a season-high 11 games over .500. LeBron James had 29 points for Cleveland, which was playing its fourth game in five nights.

"We should have no excuse of being tired," James said. "We've got a few guys that are banged up. And we just missed a lot of shots early that we usually make."

It was the second straight year James and the Cavaliers lost at Miami on the day All-Star starters were announced. O'Neal was selected to his 13th All-Star team and Wade was voted into the midseason showcase as a starter for the first time. James — who led the Eastern Conference in fan balloting — will start for the second time.

But besides him, no other Cleveland player reached double figures Thursday. The Cavaliers cut what was a 26-point deficit early in the third quarter down to nine late in that period, but shot just 4-for-22 in the final 12 minutes.

"You don't give up," James said. "We still made our run. It never got to a point where we gave up on ourselves. But when you make a run down those many points, it's hard to make another run."

Gary Payton added 14 points, Antoine Walker had 12 and James Posey had 11 points and 10 rebounds for Miami, which won its fourth straight.

Miami shot 52 percent, compared to 34 percent by the Cavaliers.

"No question, this is one of the best games we've played thus far this year, especially playing against a team that's been playing exceptionally well of late," Wade said. "We would like to see more of this. And I think we're getting there."

Wade and O'Neal capped the win with a flurry of highlight-reel moments in the final minutes.

O'Neal took an entry pass from Jason Williams with 4:35 left and was immediately fouled by Cleveland's Alan Henderson. So O'Neal simply flipped the ball over his shoulder — and into the basket.

And about 90 seconds later, Wade dribbled up the left sideline and around Cleveland's Sasha Pavlovic, who tried cutting his progress off around the midcourt stripe. Wade sidestepped Pavlovic, retrieved the ball and threw a long alley-oop to O'Neal — who threw the dunk down.

"It looks like we're on our way," O'Neal said. "We just have to keep it going. We know what it takes for us to play at that level."

Miami led 59-33 with 9:36 left in the third quarter before Cleveland rallied. Drew Gooden's tip-in with 7:22 left in the third capped an 11-1 run, and the Cavaliers later cut the deficit to 71-62 on Anderson Varejao's layup with 1:32 remaining in the period.

The Cavaliers got within 10 on another basket by Varejao early in the fourth, but Miami scored the next 13 points — capped by Wade dunking an alley-oop pass from Williams with 5:22 left to push the Heat's lead back to 91-68.

"When it went from (26) to nine, I wasn't very happy," Heat coach Pat Riley said. "I was thinking that the worst nightmare was going to be coming our way. We gathered ourselves very quickly.

I wouldnt go as far to say they have the better team, just that they caught us in a bad stretch 4in5 and we came out and missed all of our shots.

I can't tell right now who the better team is. But I do know that the Cavs came out extremely flat. Lebron was taking a ton of outside shots early in the second quarter where he looked like he just didn't want to take it to the rack. It had nothing really to do with Miami's defense. The just couldn't put the biscuit in the basket.

On a good note, I believe I heard that AI is out for a few games. If that's the case, it should be alot easier.

That schedule is decent but there's no reason they can't win 8 of those 12 games.

I shut the game off in the 4th and they were down by 9. The wheels must have fallen off after that.

AI is sitting out for the game tonight, but wants to play against the Cavs tomorrow. Probably figures they don't have a chance to beat the Pistons so he might as well rest up for the Cavs. Regardless it doesn't sound like he will be 100%.
