I would take Fortson, but he is becoming widely known around the league as a crook, even my paper pointed it out the other day. Hes been thrown out of at least two games already this year. But Gooden doesnt always show up and lacks physical toughness...

Big win against the Heat tonight. The Cavs hit a hot spell in the 3rd quarter and held on to win by 9. Looks like we'll get our wish for Marshall to start for a while with Gooden rolling an ankle. Hopefully Marshall will look good enough that Brown will leave him in the starting line up for the rest of the season. One of the other big men is going to have to step up for a few games.

Contrary to the NBA analysts I don't think PG is as much of a problem for the Cavs. Between Snow, Jones, Hughes, and Lebron they can get the ball up the court and have the ability to run the offense.

the thing is they need a pg to set the offense not to run the show from there. their offensive is most effective when lebron touches the ball early in the shot clock. when he sees the ball early and often he has a tendency to pass more, and hes an excellent passer and throws a nice entry passes to Z and gooden. this sets up snow/jones on the perimeter and moves the focus a little away from him. thus he can create of the dribble or off the jab for a step back. this is what the anaylst are saying. do they have a problem, yes. is the answer on the team-to me it is to an extent that they should be able to get enough play to get the offense set

Well Z is questionable for tomm game b/c of a slight concussion he suffered against Miami and Gooden is probable. If we don't have either of them it might be an ugly game for us. Hopefully we can do enough to win and beat the Jazz as they are not a very good team and we are at home. We need to keep the wins coming.

Utah (11-13) at Cleveland (13-9) 7:00 pm EST

CLEVELAND (Ticker) - The Cleveland Cavaliers try for a three-game winning streak when the Utah Jazz come to town on Tuesday.

The Cavaliers, who own a 9-3 home record, ended Miami's three-game winning streak with a 115-107 triumph on Friday, thanks to 41 points from superstar LeBron James, who shot 12-of-19 from the floor and had 10 assists.

James has scored 30 or more in seven of his last eight games and is averaging nearly 27 points in four career contests with Utah.

Donyell Marshall scored 25 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, both season highs, off the bench and Larry Hughes added 20 and six assists.

The Jazz improved to 1-1 on a five-game road trip with an 88-80 victory over Milwaukee on Saturday, sweeping their season series.

Mehmet Okur, Gordan Giricek and rookie Deron Williams all scored 14 points and Devin Brown added 13 off the bench for the Jazz, who had 26 assists. Okur also grabbed 14 rebounds.

The Cavaliers have won four of the last five games vs. the Jazz.

Well for 3 games in a row we have played like we are capable. DJ's 4 straight 3's sealed the deal and the starters were on the bench for a quarter and a half. Also nice to see Newble get back out there, he brings intensity on defense which is really going to help us.

The following games are very important as we match up against he central. We go to the United Center on Thursday to face the Bulls. Then we play @ home against the Pacers which will be tough and then the Bulls will visit the Q.

I really want the win on Friday nite against the Pacers as we owe them for the first beat down and we need to show we can compete with the big boys in the league, but it will be tough as it a back to back game.

It would be nice to sweep those 3 games but I know that would be wishful thinking. I would be really happy with 2-1 and a win over the pacers.

Also we have the Pistons on New Years Eve I believe so that will be just as big a game as the Pacers game.

I think we saw last night why Brown only uses an 8 man rotation. I thnik Newble will see regular, just because of his defense, but Jackson hasn't shown anything to warrant consistent pt. He plays out of control with the ball in his hands, can't shake defenders and hardly ever seems to get a straight up shot.

I'll give Newble credit for the great defense he played last night.

Nice to have a game where the starters can sit the last quarter and a half.

Jackson's problem is that he is afraid to shoot the ball. Many times this year he has had wide open looks, did a ball fake and then either passed or drove wildly to the basket never getting their to score. He just has to learn his role as a set shooter and live with it.

But loved the last few games. Especially last Saturday as I will make all of you jealous by saying I was there to watch that game. The game itself was a highlight reel waiting to happen. WOW! I just hope for a good game Friday night when I will be back at the "Q" for Blue Xmas against the Pacers.

So should I try to throw a beer at Artest?

I disagree with you guys on Jackson. I would like to see him get more minutes, not just mop up minutes. I think he brings intensity and energy to the floor and he showed last nite he is able to take the ball to the rack and create. He had 12 pts. playing about 15 minutes or so. He can also shoot it when open which is what Lebron can create, the open look.

He doesn't have "it". Why he's still popular among the fans at the Q is beyond me.

That is amazing that you know that after he has played in about 15 games this year and was hurt all last year. Just wondering who you scout for. Did Jermaine O'neal have "it", as he only avg. 10 minutes a game and about 4pts/game in his first 4 seasons. Or what about Michael Redd he averaged 2.2 pts/game in his first year.

Keep in mind Jackson missed all last year b/c of an injury and is finding his way now.

Also them two guys I mentioned above are both all-stars right now, not saying he is going to be an all-star just saying it is way to early to say that he doesnt have "it" already.

The only way he may have it, is if he realizes he's best as a set shooter. If he gets the throw out from LeBron, he can hit the open shot. IMO, he's not that goos with the ball in his hands. He's more of a Kyle Korver type. Korver usually shoots after he gets the ball. He gets to his spot, gets the ball, and puts it up.

Jackson's not as good a shooter as Korver, at this point, but in time, he can be.

To me, he just seems to out of control with the ball in his hands. It lloks like the defender has an easy time staying with him when he has the ball.

That's just the way it looks to me and I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

On a side note, I ran into Wild thing Downtown this afternoon. I asked him when he's coming back and he said hopefully soon. It took him about 5 minutes to back into a parallel parking spot.

Piney,
Did you check out that huge LBJ poster hanging on the building across from the Q? It has to be 6 stories high.
