jackson would be the odd man out. once jamison came aboard the writing was on the wall. with hickson developing nicely and AV being signed long term, he is certainly expendable.

besides, cleveland will probably buy a draft pick at some point to pick up a young center to groom to take over for shaq and z in about 2 years. or, they'll find a SG to do that with and use their MLE on a young center, which seems like a better option.

I think they already selected the young SG to groom (Eyenga).

Yeah, Jackson is the most likely candidate. Green at least had promise and can be a good option as a rotation player next year or two.

Eyenga is a project that will be over in Europe for AT LEAST another 2 years and if not longer because he is so raw. So Eyenga MIGHT be an option in 4 years or so.

I wouldn't count on any big moves this summer baring a sign and trade if Shaq wants to move. If Lebron resigns, which I expect, I think they will resign Shaq and Z make another run at it with the same cast. If Lebron leaves I doubt they spend any money that isn't already on the books for next season. I think Parker and Moon will have one more season and then you will see guys like Eyenga and Green taking over the 2/backup 3 minutes. At some point they are going to need to bring in a younger C that can guard Howard.

cleveland will have their MLE to use next summer. I assume it will be spent on a center in some capacity.

Speaking of next year... we have to remember that Z no longer has bird rights. Meaning we would have to either use part of the MLE on resigning him, or when we sign Z for the rest of this year it is a multi-year contract using the BAE.

Besides that, I agree with exhawg, LeBron resigns, we resign Shaq and try to keep the band playing for another year (hopefully Shaq doesn't want a long contract). We'll buy a 1st round pick to either grab a Center or maybe a PG. Regarding signing anyone of consequence in the offseason, I doubt it. With the amount of teams with cap space it will be difficult to lure anyone here with the MLE. As the teams that fail to sign the big named contracts would be able to offer contracts larger than the MLE.

This team is retarded.

There is no other explanation.

How many fucking times can we leave RAY ALLEN WIDE OPEN for a 3?

He is Ray FUCKING Allen.

And how hard is it to guard someone that has absolutely no jump shot?

The Celtics could roll out a hippie in a wheelchair and we would still give him open looks all night long.
