Cavs 09-10 Season (official thread)

Team Stat Comparison
Cleveland Boston
Points 124 95
FG Made-Attempted 44-74 (.595) 35-82 (.427)
3P Made-Attempted 5-12 (.417) 4-17 (.235)
FT Made-Attempted 31-34 (.912) 21-29 (.724)

This is utter and complete domination. Apparently the Cavs like the shooting environs in Boston Garden.

So you're saying Lebron is going to sign with Boston this summer? :p

Game 4 is the critical game. The Celtics are going to give everything they have left the even the series. The Cavs need to play another game just like last night. If they do this series will end in 5.

Impressive performance. I certainly did not see that coming. I think its time to give the much-maligned Mike Brown some credit for his adjustment on Rondo - who, as we can see, is the key that starts the Celtics engine.

KG getting into foul trouble early certainly didn't hurt. He's been a matchup problem for Jamison on the block - and his absence allowed Antawn to get more comfortable.

Its not likely that the Cavs will shoot that well from the field regularly or that Boston will look that puzzled on defense. So we still need to be willing to make appropriate changes. Personally, I'd like to see more Delonte West playing with Lebron. They play well off each and still appear to be the only guys on the team that can get enough separation to create their own shot.

Great game Cavs. Great job on Rondo. GREAT job on screens.

LeBron is amazing and I think we can put the elbow issue away.

Shaq finally made a shot that wasn't a dunk.

No, you can't put the LeBron elbow issue away. What if it is causing terrible pain tomorrow? This is an injury that is hit or miss...it hurts like hell with throbbing pain, or it feels fine. Which elbow shows up is a mystery....

Do you want to argue against any of those statements?

I think the Celtics are just as good as the Cavs, and are certainly playing better right now. Rajon Rondo is too quick for Mo Williams. His decision making/passing has been terrific. They are getting outside shooting from Pierce, Allen and Wallace. And Kevin Garnett is eating Jamison alive on the block. They may just be better. That's all I'm saying.

And the prevalent notion that the Cavs are losing because Lebron isn't being aggressive enough or that Mike Brown is a terrible coach sells what the Celtics are doing short.

Essentially, there's a lot of whining going on and I haven't seen any credit given to Boston.

mmmkay.

:wink2:

My bad.

I still think the Celtics are a very good team, but when Lebron plays like he did in the first quarter, ain't a damn thing any team can do about it.

Oh, the cletics are pretty good... no doubt.

Basically, I think what's going on here is the cavs have been focused on the Magic since about 2 weeks to go in the regular season.

Basically, they lost game 2 because they got away with coming back in game 1.

If anyone isn't showing the Celtics the proper respect, I think it's the Cavs most likely... well... until the other day... and... I'm not sure what happens today, but, the Cavs will harrass the shit out of Rondo again, and unless Pierce gets himself going (and Allen for that matter) it will be more of the same... though, I do think the Celtics will be looking at this as a must win.

24-17.

Cavs look hesitant with shots and passing. I'd like to see more aggressiveness getting into the lane. I like getting the ball to Shaq and drawing the foul on 'Sheed. Maybe they'll do that some more.

However its quite clear we're going to get Boston's best effort tonight. If we can fight through the crowd and this team and pull out a W I can't see them winning in Cleveland again.
