Cavs 09-10 Season (official thread)

I agree. I was just bringing a point to the sky is falling bunch that none of the big 3 played 48 minutes this weekend.

Yeah. After just the first round of games that it's very clear to me that the big three all have a gear that the rest of the teams in the league just don't possess. Even the Lakers, who looked mundane for most of the season, looked almost back to their form of last playoff.

The Cavs have the most depth of any team in the league. My one problem is that aside from Lebron they are still a bit in love with shooting J's. Antwan Jamison is proving to be a good, savvy pickup.

Cavs up 52-50 at the half.

Will be interesting to see if our defense tightens up after halftime. They are getting into the paint at will. Everything is a lay-up or 5 foot shot. This type of defense will get you blown out against better teams.

Guarenteed great defense in the 4th if the game is close. Thats what this team seems to do, they don't think they have to play D until the 4th quarter. That needs to change in later rounds.

Lebron plays like that, combined with the support in scoring he got from unexpected places like Jamario Moon...the Cavs are going to coast through the first two series in this playoff run. Their defense is going to have to be better to stack up with Orlando and the Lakers.

Another thing that irked me tonight was the amount of offensive rebounds that the Bulls got. Might be an issue for concern when bigger teams go up against the Cavs.

Bottom line is that it was a good win, and Chicago showed some heart but just don't have the horses to stick with the best team in the league.
