3 fouls on all the Bulls bigs. Too bad they got rusty taking the last week of the season off.

This game reminded me of last year's series against Orlando to some extent, except the Bulls are not nearly good enough to make the Cavs pay for it. They got up big, got lazy and let the other team back in the game. They shot poorly from outside and settled for those shot way too often in the second half. They made too many unforced turnovers.
tsteele316;1692218; said:you're not settling for shots when your PG or SG is on the 3 point line with nobody within 5 feet of him. that's an open look that needs knocked down. if cleveland even shot their season average from 3, even with turnovers, they win by about 25. you're making way too much of this.
jlb1705;1692284; said:I agree that they need to take the open shots and knock them down, but if you haven't hit a single one over the course of seven minutes of shooting nothing but long jumpers, you're not "getting" open - you're being left open for a reason. At some point you have to force the issue and get to the rim. LeBron finally did that to stop some of Chicago's momentum.
Seven minute scoring droughts are not going to be easy to overcome later in the playoffs, and I don't think the best team in the league with a handful of players who can create their own shot should simply wait for a return to the mean to take care of things.
tsteele316;1692418; said:how often have the cavs had 7 minute scoring droughts this year? rarely, if ever. again, you're making way too much of one game.
exhawg;1692666; said:Even with the 7 minute drought they won easier than the Magic and Lakers. All 3 teams had big leads in the first half and let them slip away. The Cavs game wouldn't have been as close as it was if they could hit anywhere close to their normal % of wide open shots. The Cavs have enough good shooters that zone shouldn't work on a normal night.
P.S. Noah's an ass
Merih;1692670; said:All three teams looked good however, with their superstars not really playing up to the standards they've set for themselves.
Lebron - 9-19, 24 points, 5 ast, 6 reb
Kobe - 6-19, 21 points, 3 ast, 2 reb
Dwight - 2-4, 5 points, 7 reb
The Lakers and the Cavs specifically played great defense in stretches. There will be no cake walk to the title for either of those three teams.
