Anyone getting the game on FSO...I am getting sports science...:(

I missed most of the first half, but it is on up here. I know they are playing the Bobcats, but they are a different team with Z. Tomorrow will be a big test to see how they look almost healthy against a good team.

Well just looking at the box score, it looks like Z and Sasha had solid games...

I still think once we get Boobie back we are going to be very dangerous...

Keep hearing people talking about the trade, not only here, but just about everyone I talk to, and I continue to like it...We didn't lose the core guys in LBJ, Z, Sasha, Wild Thing, and Boobie...

Now we actually have a guy that is a point guard first, and has a solid shot, and can create and pass some..

We add a guy in Wallace and while he might be down in terms of athleticism and where he was at in the peak of his career, but still brings toughness and ability to be an enforcer, and along with Z and Wild Thing not many teams are going to dominate us in the paint...

Wally has struggled, and if he continues to struggle his minutes will be cut like they were tonight to only 9, if he starts getting hot he is just going to be a huge asset...Either way we have Sasha, Boobie, Devin Brown, DJ and West to man the guard spots so Wally isn't really needed to play 40 minutes a game...Just adds depth...Wally or Ira?

Joe Smith has been a pleasant surprise...Honestly we are getting a lot more than I expected and with him we have 4 guys in the paint that can all be counted on...2 offensive guys in Z and Smith and 2 defensive guys in the Wallace and Wild Thing...

Either way we lost Hughes who said he didn't want to play here and Gooden, who while better offensively than Wild Thing and Wallace combined...Had the mental capacity of a 2 year old and couldn't defend very well against bigger post guys...

Exactly, although we lost Gooden who I couldn't really justify, we gained so much more, and we're now actually a flexible team. West is still my favorite part of the trade because we so desperately needed a Point.

Big return for big men in Cavs' win over Bobcats Ilgauskas, Wallace back in starting lineup, provide needed help for LeBron
By Brian Windhorst

CLEVELAND: The backs are feeling better and, now, so are the Cavaliers.
Ben Wallace and Zydrunas Ilgauskas, both out or limited because of back injuries in the past two weeks, were on the floor together Sunday. That was the frontcourt the Cavs dreamed about when making their major trade last month, and the win over the Charlotte Bobcats showed why.
They both made major contributions in a 98-91 victory and, combined with more heroism from LeBron James, the Cavs snapped their two-game losing skid.

James scores 33; Cavaliers survive late rally by Bobcats

3/16/2008, 10:27 p.m. EDT The Associated Press
CLEVELAND (AP) ? LeBron James led the way again, but some late help from his teammates helped save the Cleveland Cavaliers Sunday night.
While James scored 33 points, two baskets by Ben Wallace ? the veteran forward's only points of the game ? and a clutch jumper by Delonte West, helped the Cavaliers hold off a late Charlotte rally to defeat the Bobcats, 98-91.
James, the league's leading scorer, was more than happy to share the spotlight.
"It shows they can help this team if we put them in positions to score," said James, who had 10 assists and seven rebounds.
The Cavaliers held on after nearly squandering an 11-point lead early in the fourth quarter. Jason Richardson, who matched James with 33 points, sparked Charlotte's comeback. He scored nine straight points, including two 3-pointers and a three-point play late in the game.

James lets his play do the talking in Cavs win
Monday, March 17, 2008
BY Chris Beaven
REPOSITORY SPORTS WRITER

CLEVELAND Overrated?

That's what DeShawn Stevenson of the Washington Wizards called LeBron James. Don't look for any Charlotte Bobcats ? or really anyone else with a set of eyes ? to line up in agreement Sunday, James went about his usual routine ? dominating a game in all phases and leading the Cavs to a win. They beat the Bobcats, 98-91, in front of a sold-out crowd of 20,562 at Quicken Loans Arena.

James came up with 33 points, 10 assists, seven rebounds, two blocks and a steal. He had his usual assortment of thunder dunks, driving layups and jumpers to go with pinpoint passes. If that wasn't enough, he turned into a defensive stopper the final 52 seconds to cool off red-hot Charlotte shooter Jason Richardson.

"He is LeBron James," Richardson said. "LeBron can do a lot of things."

Cavs' notebook: 'Z' makes his presence felt upon return to Cavs
Monday, March 17, 2008

CLEVELAND Not many 7-footers get overlooked.

But playing alongside MVP candidate LeBron James, the contributions of 7-foot-3 Zydrunas Ilgauskas can be overlooked ? until the man in the middle is missing.

After a seven-game absence with a strained back, Ilgauskas returned Sunday and made an immediate impact in a 98-91 win over Charlotte. He had 16 points, nine rebounds and three blocks, making 7-of-11 shots from the floor in 31 minutes.

"It was a treat for me to get him back and for all the rest of our bigs," James said.

Without Ilgauskas, the Cavs went 4-3 and were inconsistent on both ends of the floor. Ilgauskas at center means Ben Wallace shifts to his natural power forward position.

"It makes a huge difference for me," said Wallace, who grabbed 15 rebounds, his high since coming to the Cavs.

Offensively, Ilgauskas' ability to step out and make 20-footers spreads the floor.

"It puts a lot of pressure on the defense," point guard Delonte West said.

We played well in the first half...Didn't shoot the ball great, but there was lots of things to like creating for teammates, Sasha driving to the hole, DJ off the bench with some big shots, Devin Brown continuing his solid play...Joe Smith and Z playing well, Ben Wallace playing good defense on Howard...

Now we just need to finish out in the second half...

Orlando got just about every bounce in this game, and they got red-hot from three-point range in the third quarter. It's hard to beat a team when they have 4-5 guys who are hitting every outside shot they take in the second half, not to mention Dwight Howard on the inside.

Delonte West had a decent third quarter.

I'm tired of hearing about how the new guys need to get used to their teammates. Aren't these guys professionals? At some point guys like Joe Smith and Ben Wallace need to get their heads out of their rear ends and be ready to receive passes. Too many turnovers going off of people's hands on good passes.

I'm convinced that our biggest aquisition this offseason regardless of how deep we go in the playoffs is going to be an assistant coach. We need to bring in someone who will install an offense. Right now, our offense in the 4th especially is hold the ball for 9 seconds, and then play pick and roll until we get a shot off, or the shot clock expires.I just dont get how we have absolutely no offense other than that or Lebron iso...

I disagree with you here...These guys aren't for sure if the pass is coming or the shot is going up...It takes time to get used to playing with someone...Especially someone like LBJ who is good enough to take those tough shots, but also good enough to make the tough pass...

There are times when you see it, just leading a pass too far, or talking on rebounds, spreading the floor, etc. That is why Detroit/SA continue to be so good is they have been together for so long and play so well off of each other...

Once again on a back to back we run out of steam in the second half...We were playing so well, and then we couldn't hit a shot...

Still very solid games from Sasha and West...When Boobie comes back and we have 3 threats like that from the outside, and also guys that will put it on the floor some we will be very good...

Wild Thing seems to have lost some of the energy he was brining a couple games ago, hopefully his injury isn't flaring back up...
