Cavs 07-08 Season Thread

Gotta give him props...If we are going to get beat like that I would rather it be Michael Redd hitting then the shot then someone like Kobe or someone...

I did like how we didn't let it slip away in the last minute and tied it up...Good use of timeouts, fouls, decision to take to hole instead of forcing a three...The only thing we might of been able to do is wait a little bit to take the final shot so they wouldn't of had time to get back down the court for a shot...

Not having Z hurt as wll as the refs. The only one of the news guys i'm not impressed with is West. Seldom have I watched an entire cavs game but the last couple of nights I have.

I guess i do feel bad for Redd. I went to the Buck Scout board to see where this Mo Williams was from. While I was there I looked at the forums, check out the titles of some of these threads.

Redd's 3 beats Cavs

Milwaukee -- Michael Redd had the last shot, and he made it a good one.
The former Ohio State star hit a 3-pointer over an outstretched Wally Szczerbiak at the buzzer to lift the Milwaukee Bucks to a 105-102 victory over the Cavaliers on Tuesday night at Bradley Center.
Redd, who finished with 25 points, immediately was mobbed by his teammates. The Bucks, who had beaten Detroit and Denver in their past two home games, improved to 22-35. Mo Williams led Milwaukee with 37 points, 13 in the fourth quarter.
LeBron James, inching ever closer to the 10,000-point mark, finished with 35 points for the Cavs, who slipped to 32-25. James now needs 19 points to reach 10,000. He'll have a chance when the Cavs travel to Boston to face the Celtics tonight.

Bucks kill buzz for new Cavs
Last-second shot jolts Cleveland; LeBron scores 35 points in loss

MILWAUKEE: This honeymoon ended with a dagger.
Michael Redd stunned the Cavaliers on Tuesday night when he nailed a 28-footer at the buzzer to give his Milwaukee Bucks a 105-102 victory, snapping the Cavs' three-game win streak and ruining their mojo following their big trade.
LeBron James, who had 35 points of his own, had just tied the game with a driving left-handed layup with 5.6 seconds left when Redd, who had 25 points, dribbled down the middle of the court and pulled up with 1.7 seconds left and let it fly with new Cav Wally Szczerbiak's hand in his face.

West has played very well. 7pts, 8reb and 7 assists. I'd gladly take that every game. When was the last time someone other than LeBron led the team in assists?

These back to back road games suck.

I sure do love not being afraid of my teams bench anymore. That is for sure.

Wally showed a lot of emotion last night after missing a shot. Really seems like he wants it. That is awesome. He knows that if he takes all those shots, he has to hit more of them.

I really like the production we are getting out of West, Ben Wallace, and Smith. Smith sure is automatic from his college 3 point sweet spot. Ben Wallace getting 7 points and 11 rebounds is something I will take every night (If he were to start bringing in double digits in points, I'd go crazy). And, I do think that West is playing really well.

This team is still growing into itself, and it is pretty fun to watch. I hope the game against Boston goes well tonight.

Yesterday was a reality check... it is going to take some time for this team to adjust and play together. But in the Cavs defense, those refs sucked balls. There was a huge difference in fouls, and the refs definitly gave the Bucks a hometown discount. The one I remember specifically was Wally coming around a pick and the guy guarding him threw his forearm and knocked him off course... no call. But it stuck out in my mind because what the guy did looked exactly like the movement the refs make to call that foul.

Also, the biggest grievence of them all... the last shot. Yes it was a hell of a shot by Redd, but he was completely out of control and travelled. Watching the replay, he tried to stop and slid a good foot like he was on ice. Yes, it is a tough call to make against the home team, but it is a call that needs to be made. This is just another example of how much of a joke NBA officiating is.

The only problem I had with last night's game was I thought that Brown kept LBJ out of the game too long at the beginning of the fourth quarter. I know that James has played many many minutes and need some rest but I don't believe that I have ever seen him sit out for that length of time in one stretch. I know that Lebron need some rest for the playoffs but aren't we also trying to position ourselves in the standings. Just my take.
