Cavs 06-07 season thread

Finally got the juicy stuff:

Cavs offered Gooden and Pollard for Bibby, but Pheonix was also involved. Kings would land Marcus Banks as well. Not sure what was in it for Pheonix.

Kings declined the trade saying they wanted more expirings contracts.

I think we will counter with Newble/Wesley...hopefully they accept!

Well either way that sounds good for the Cavs...

One guy the Suns might go after from the Kings is Artest. I am not sure how he would fit in in PHX, but if they could get a defender like him to go along with Bell, they would turn into a pretty good defensive team...

hughes with another solid performance. 6-18 fg, 0-3 3pt, 2-4 ft.
that includes two point blank misses late in the 4th with the game close.

tell me how he isn't a liability.

I can't. His shooting the last 6 weeks has been horrible.

I think I read that Phoenix just wants to get rid of his contract, regardless of the return.

Anyone that agrees to trade Andy should have their head examined. While not an offensive threat, he's shown he can score when needed and when he gets the minutes. He's averaging 13pts and 14 boards filling in for Z. He's always hustling. That throwdown over Bosh was pure hustle!!!!

If they can get Bibby, while keeping AV, that would be great.

From ESPN: (NOT INSIDER)

The marquee player most likely to move entering the final hours of trade season, as discussed in this cyberspace Tuesday night, was still Sacramento's Mike Bibby.
Yet there were no indications in the wee hours of Thursday morning that a Bibby-to-Cleveland deal was close, either.

I don't like Banks' contract enough to bring him in here...

I just hope that we get something done for Bibby...

if the kings want gooden, and there is $14 mil roughly left to fill cash wise, and the kings are looking for some cap clearing contracts, the cavs could deal wesley or pollard. they could try to get either damon jones or eric snow out of town as well.

Newble could go as well...

I just don't like the idea of sending Gooden and Pollard, leaves us very thin on the front line unless we plan on playing small some, b/c Donyell and Z arent guys that can give you 40 minutes/game...

Well life goes on...We will be fine...

Wish I felt that way. I really think this would have put us over. A true top notch PG that can distribute and run an offense. Something we have never had for LeBron and company. I really thought it was going to get done and it really should have. Without him, I am not sure we can take the East, or even make it to Eastern Finals if DWade and Shaq are healthy. The Bulls are nothing to scoff at either and we know Detroit will be there.
