Carson Palmer (Arizona Cardinals)

The hilarious thing about this whole situation to me is that the 'nati is far from an OSU town. There's at least as many Kentucky fans there with UC, Xavier and huge Notre Dame population mixed in. I'm a Bengals and I could care less what he said.

As far as Oakland and Troy Smith no city in Cali is pro one college team any way. Probably no city on the west coast.

I agree, I live in Ironton, Im 3 hours away from Nati and Colom. Everyone around here is bothered by his comments and there all saying "Screw Cincinnati ima Browns fan now" I just laugh and brush it off, He went to USC! He won the Heisman in 2002 and oh wait didnt go to the BCS who did...Us of course, so he has some bitterness.

Any watch Jim Rome is Burning on ESPN today? This guy has to be the biggest tool in the shed. He actually got on Ohio State fans for getting on Carson Palmer. He actually said "what buckeye fan?, do you expect AJ Hawk to sport Badger gear because his NFL team is in Wisconsin" Tell me this guy can understand the difference between supporting your alma mater and calling out another program. What an idiot.

Did you really expect him not to have an opinion about the game?

Complete and utter arogance and disrespect is rather different in mine eye.

The way he said Tressel's name was in absolute disgust and there is zero reason for that - regardless of his program affiliation. Just to add a touch more, he pretty much ripped the entire state of Ohio.

You could tell in his tone, and its not hard to interpret.

Tell pretty boy he can go fuck himself; better yet, tell him to watch the athletes from The Ohio State University do that to his alma matter on 9/13.

When its all said and done, he can continue to strive for mediocrity in the NFL.

bitch....

While I get where your coming from, the guy does have a point. Carson probably shouldn't have said anything, but the question was loaded. The thing is, it was with Petros who's a USC alumni and basically looked for a response and got what he wanted for. Carson just isn't smart enough to dodge the question, no, I don't expect AJ to sport Badger gear, however, I expect Carson palmer to be professional enough to say "This will be a great game, I play in Ohio and I know how passionate these fans are, but I will be rooting for USC" He says that, then all is finished, done, there's no conversation.

If old Carson cared half as much about being a professional QB as he does to trashing the Buckeyes, he might be able to muster something a little better than a 35 QB rating and he might be able to lead his team to something more than one of the worst offensive performances in the opening week.
