Linking to his thread showed me this post... fuck Carson Palmer :tongue2:bucknut11;110550; said:On PTI today they discussed Carson Palmer's Heisman votes. Apparently his ballot looked like this:
1. Leinart
2. Bush
3. Jarrett
They basically said he voted for the other 2 guys just to ensure that no other "real" contenders got unnecessary votes that would hurt Leinart and/or Bush. I know there's such a thing as team spirit, but this is ridiculous!
That'd be like Archie voting for Ted, AJ, and Nuge.
EDIT: Sorry for watching E programming. Please do not ban me, I promise it was an accident!

Palmer Gets Copy Of Tressel's Book
Tuesday, July 29, 2008
CINCINNATI ? A few days after Carson Palmer bashed Ohio State football on a Los Angeles radio station, the Cincinnati Bengals starting quarterback found some new reading material at his home.
During a question and answer session with reporters at Bengals' training camp in Georgetown, Ky., Palmer said one of his neighbors left a copy of Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel's book on his doorstep.
"It was an interesting week," Palmer said. "I got home and there was Jim Tressel's (The Winners Manual: For The Game Of Life) . One of my neighbors left it on my doorstep. I didn't have a chance to read it, I don't know if I'll get around to it, but it was kind of a funny gesture."
Palmer, who played college football at USC, upset many Buckeye fans with his comments last week. The comments were intended for a southern California audience in anticipation of the Trojans game with the Buckeyes this fall.
"It kind of got blown out of proportion," Palmer said. "If people are going to take it that serious that's up to them."
"It was all in good fun. I live in Ohio. It doesn't mean I have to be a Buckeye fan," Palmer said.

Palmer said what you expect someone from a proud program to say. So what?

buckeyesin07;1217785; said:1. Sure, I expect him to have an opinion.
2. No, he said what I would expect someone who has no class to say. There's a big difference between talking up your own team and taking classless shots at another program.

I would also expect Palmer to have expressed his support and loyalty to his alma mater a little more eloquently, with a little more class, than what he did.
I expected a little more in the way of intelligence from him since he should realize the state in which he is employed is also the home of OSU.
But it doesn't surprise me that this transpired. Too many years in the Bunghole organization must have damaged his ability to state his views with any level of class, dignity, respect, and intelligence.

Did you really expect him not be as avid in his support of USC as many of the posters here are about the Buckeyes? And when you look at the Bengal's offense their stars, Houshmaalphabits, Johnson, Anderson, and Palmer are all SEC or Pac 10. The only Big 10 back or receiver they have spends all of his time on the IR list and mouthing off about Michigan. Palmer's hardly going to get any lip from any of them in favor of the Buckeyes.
