So Im moving to Grove City in October and will need cable/Internet services. Did we ever establish who I should go with?? Thanks.

Shit, I better move.

We just switched to U-verse a couple months ago and have been fairly pleased - I don't know how widespread their availability is in the GC (don't call it that).

Thanks. Is Time Warner really that bad?

-I did not have any problems with T-W, but have read the horror stories.

-I have had Wow for cable and internet twice and have not had any issues with them other than that their DVR is a pain in the ass. Their customer service is really good.

Absolutely. I had them for 2 and 3 years respectively. The cable boxes died 5-7 times entirely and had outages at least a dozen times per year. Also fun, I signed up for a 2 year contract with them and because I didn't cancel before the 2nd year finished, I was locked into another 2 year deal. It took a lot of haggling but the solution was to briefly upgrade my service with a month to month service and then call back in and cancel it.

DirecTV was awesome the first time around and this time has been pretty good. The TV goes out about 3-5 times per year for about 1-10 minutes during a bad storm, meanwhile theTWC cable goes out for hours at a time at least a few times per year.

None of this counts the frequent outages of the crappy modems they send out. I've never encountered a TWC box that wasn't absolute garbage that failed within a few months of receiving it, and most of the replacements were their top of the line boxes.

Just called and cancelled my Comcast Cable.

They asked why I was cancelling. I said I don't watch it enough to justify the cost. The rep's response was to offer me "discounted premium package" pricing that would ultimately INCREASE my bill. Do they really think people are that dumb?

Wow.

Anyway, I am done with cable since for about 1/3 the price you can get just about anything you want through ariels (HD over air is so much crisper than trough cable), Netflix, Hulu, etc.
