I haven't found anything for certain... did he sign with Mr. Conley?

I had read that Conley, Sr. was in China a week ago, with the Chicago Olympic 2016 delegation, and that after he returned Oden would sign with him. But I don't know if that has happened yet.

Conley Sr. follows Oden to NBA as prospect's agent
By Roscoe Nance, USA TODAY

Conley Sr. told USA TODAY he will announce today he will sign Ohio State freshman Greg Oden, the likely No. 1 pick in the June draft, and join BDA Sports Management, the second-largest agency working with NBA players. Clients include two-time league MVP Steve Nash and All-Stars Yao Ming and Carmelo Anthony.

The 7-0, 280-pound Oden says picking Conley was a no-brainer.

"I'm going with someone I know and can trust," he says. "He has taken care of me and my brother (Anthony, 17) for a long time. We have that trust, and that's a big factor. Being in this situation you have to have someone you can trust. He was like a father to me because my father wasn't around that much. I wanted to continue our relationship."

Oden is still taking classes ? final exams are June 4-7 ? and works out with the Buckeyes from Monday through Friday, then goes home to Indianapolis on weekends. He says his freshman year was a major factor in his decision to leave school.

"I've been through an injury," says Oden, who played part of the season recovering from a broken right wrist. "I don't want that to happen again. I didn't play a full year with both hands. I know a lot of people haven't seen my whole game. That's what this summer is about."

Transition game: Oden's mentor becomes partner
Representing a top NBA pick is great, but rookie agent says ties go deeper
By Jeff Rabjohns and Mark Alesia

Mike Conley Sr., a former Olympic gold medalist in the triple jump, has made the leap. He sounds like an agent. He's selling Greg Oden.

Mike Conley Sr.
? Age: 44.
Title: Owner, chief executive, MAC Management Group.
As an athlete: Three-time Olympian; 1992 gold medalist and 1984 silver medalist in the triple jump; nine-time NCAA champion at the University of Arkansas; ranked No. 1 in the world six times; won state track and basketball titles at Chicago Luther South.
As an executive: Is executive director of World Sport Chicago, a group aiming to land the 2016 Olympics for Chicago; spent seven years as executive director of Elite Athlete Programs for USA Track & Field, where he oversaw the agent program and wrote the agent handbook; established the Professional Athletics Association for track and field athletes.
Hobbies: Coached summer basketball teams to six AAU national titles and two Reebok Big Time titles; has a second-degree black belt in taekwondo.

"He's Shaq but shoots free throws," Conley said. "He has close to a 40-inch vertical jump. You've never seen anyone like him. You can't label him like Dwight Howard or like Shaq. Both of them are great, but he's neither one. He's a new kind of athlete."
To Conley, Oden isn't just a virtual family member. He's a marketing brand.
He's not just someone who's been a friend and teammate of Conley's son, Mike Jr. He's a partner in an eight-figure business.

From this article if Oden does not finish out Spring quarter it will affect our APR and we will lose one scholarship for the 08-09 season.

Heard him on the espin show that replaced Cold Pizza yesterday being interviewed by Jay Crawford. He proved some of the dolts (Dana Jacobsen in particular) wrong when Crawford asked GO who should be drafted first by responding that it depended on the teams need. If they needed defense and rebounding then maybe him else KDurant can do so many things the team should take him. Probably a rather poor job of paraphrasing, but it once again showed Gregs humility. What a great kid, he'll always be a Buckeye to me.
