Count me in with those who are appreciative of what GO did for the Bucks.

It was great that he and the others came to OSU, and as some have said, will have a positive, exciting effect on the program for years to come.

The only downer will be in a year or two when the articles are coming out about what a "disappointment" he is in the pro's. Not that he will deserve that label, but I think he will probably have a year like Bogut's, little underwhelming.

For ayear or two he will be a 8 ppg, 5 rebound guy before he gets it cranked up. NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. He's just not going to be an All Star, at least not for a few years.

Bring on Koufos, Buford, Diebler and the rest! Let's have a nother 30+ win season!

How do I, say goodbye too what we had
The good times, that made us laugh a went by

I thought we'd get, to be forever but forever's gone away
It's so hard, to say goodbye to yesterday

I dont know, where to go it's going to be
All I know, is where we've been and whate we've been through

If we get, to see tomorrow I hope it's worth all the wait
It's so hard, to say goodbye to yesterday

And i'll take, with me the memories to be my sunshine after the rain
It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday

And i'll take, with me the memories to be my sunshine after the rain
It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday

Oden declares.

ozone
The OSU department of athletics has issued the following statement reguarding freshman basketball players Greg Oden, Mike Conley and Daequan Cook.

...

"This is a very tough decision for me," Oden said. "I love OSU and love being a Buckeye, but I also have a great opportunity to take my game to the next level and compete with the best players in the world. I've discussed this with family, friends and Coach (Thad) Matta, and I feel the time is right."

Oden leaves Buckeyes to chase glory in NBA draft
The Indianapolis Star

Since he was in grade school, people have watched Greg Oden move through the nation's amateur basketball system, marveling at his potential and the huge dollar signs ahead. Through elite summer camps, through three state championships at Lawrence North High School, through a brief but sparkling stint in college, anticipation rose.
The day everyone knew would come arrived Friday: Oden turned professional. In a written statement released by Ohio State, Oden announced he will enter the June 28 NBA draft. The 19-year-old freshman is universally projected to be the first or second pick, along with Texas freshman Kevin Durant.
"I've discussed this with family, friends and Coach (Thad) Matta, and I feel the time is right," Oden said. Financially speaking, his time has come.
