C Dallas Lauderdale (Maine Red Claws - NBA G-League)

His footwork is the main issue on offense.....he gets initial position and then does not maintain the position.........also needs to work on his body control when making an offensive move.......the feet are the building block.......defensively......no complaints.......:wink2:

What a pleasant surprise Dallas has been so far into the season. Hes been relatively consistent and is second in the nation in blocks per game right now. His posterization of a Miami defender today made number 2 on the espin the top 10 plays...:) lol at the tag "swatterdale"

#2 on top 10 plays tonight.

It's rare for a 6'8 guy to put one down like he did. He didn't just flush it. He jumped through the roof, used his ridiculously long reach, and straight abused the rim. Sweet dunk for anyone who missed it.

Hopefully youtube allows someone, or me, to post it soon.

Pretty sure it's been noted by someone on BP before, but whoever said "Ken Johnson" hit the nail on the head.

Great start to the season so far for Dallas.

Plus, he continues to improve every week he's at OSU.

Ken Johnson was a lot taller. I'm thinking Jason Maxiell. Maxiell is actually 6'7ish but he is also a load in the paint and has a great wingspan.

The great thing about Dallas, is his wingspan makes him taller, and his vertical makes him even more difficult. Dallas is going to be a very strong player for us.

Before the season started, there were a few question marks regarding the Buckeyes? starting five?the center position wasn?t one of them.
All-everything freshman phenom and legit seven-footer B.J. Mullens seemed an absolute shoo-in for the slot, as he ? like Greg Oden and Kosta Koufos before him ? had no shortage of hype coming in.
Three games in, Mullens averaged just over 16 minutes?from the bench.
The story so far is the quantum leap in both poise and production made by sophomore forward-center Dallas Lauderdale. A year ago, Lauderdale was a role player at best, logging just a handful of minutes per game, generally just kind of ?staying out of the way?.
