I was surprised at how many people lefty early, I mean really early. So many people were leaving that early in the 4th quarter it looked like a Da U home game......

LOL well it was basically over in the 1st quarter. I saw some empty seats for sure so I'm surprised we even got to 103K. First snow of the year and we looked like we enjoyed it.

The seating capacity of Ohio Stadium is now 102,780.

Yeah, there were lots of empty seats at the start of the game, especially in the "Presidents Club" sections and South stands (i.e.student sections). I think they probably count any sold ticket in the attendance number whether they show up or not. I do know that in the total attendance number they also count ushers, policemen, people with sideline passes, and any others that get in without a ticket, etc.

I swear to God if they lowered ticket prices they would have the most rabid crowds of any schools in the country and that shit would always be full! There are so many Buckeye fans that just can't afford the high ass prices for these things and as much as I know it's a business, Columbus is full of people who work damn hard for their money and are frugal to take care of their families. Look at Donald Trumps approval rating in Ohio if you don't believe me. Now, that wasn't meant to be political but everything that has a price is political. Make tickets more affordable and we'll never have an empty seat in any of our main venues.

Caveat: this is for the main money generating sports not every one such as wrestling which is fantastic but will never fill the Schott and hockey which deserver their own venues and pristine ice since we are reigning champions for Gods sake! @ORD_Buckeye

One of the more enjoyable aspects of watching games yesterday was that there were virtually no more political commercials.

Let’s not mention stuff like that in the football forums.
Apologies. Didnt mean it that way but thats how a lot of us feel to be honest. In my own mind, if it isn't Scarlet and Gray, it ain't worth shit! Woody had a similar saying that was more "PC."

Just sayin': The ticket prices are only part of the expense of attending a game; check out the outrageous cost of concessions, parking, and a souvenir program.

100% brother. But, the cost of those extras can be mitigated by the tailgates, which also cost money for parking. I know I'm giving back to the university (at least I hope I am) when I pay for parking and whatnot. Once in the game, I'm a psycho for the game situations so I might only buy one beverage while I'm in there. I hate missing game play and if you miss the halftime band routine, your're an idiot. But, people have to pee and stuff so I get it. If you bring a child to this environment it has to be a serious endeavor but hopefully one they will never forget. I remember my first trip to The Shoe like it was yesterday and they had the game won by end of the first quarter. I still did not want to leave regardless. Some of us "like" the Buckeyes and enjoy games and stuff. Some of us "love" the Buckeyes and will fight for our Scarlet & Gray beliefs. Some of us are BuckeyePlanet and will fight the world for everything Buckeye!(guilty). When I was younger a Buckeye loss of any kind would depress the hell out of me, now it just changes my mood for about a week and I power on knowing that there's another Buckeye victory around the corner! O-H!
