I hear what he’s saying, but he’s forgetting some points. Yes, OSU fans look at winning the Natty as being a big deal. But OSU has lost to scUM 4 straight years, so we will not forget that. No matter how many years down the road it goes. Alabama hadn’t lost to Auburn 4 straight years, so of course that loss didn’t mean as much when they won in the NC. If OSU was even 2-2 the last 4yrs, I don’t think OSU fans would have looked at the loss in 2024 in the same way. It also doesn’t help that most of us won’t forget that the team was 21+pt favorites as well. Don’t get me wrong, the Natty will never be forgotten, but there is still massive pressure on Day even with the Natty because he NEEDS to beat scUM. Sabah owned Auburn, outside a phenomenal Cam Newton year and the special teams blunder, they dominated Auburn. Day has an NC but hasn’t beaten his biggest rival, that isn’t and won’t be lost on OSU fans

Just for reference, even though ay has lost 4 straight to scUM, he DID beat them in 2019 and most likely would have destroyed their program in 2020 if they didn't pussy out.
Saying "he hasn't beaten his rival" isn't exactly correct.
But yeah, he needs to end that skid this season or it could get ugly for him.

Until there are actual sanctions, anyone who says that out loud is just a biased homer. Yes, WE all know that's true, but saying that in an echo chamber is rather pointless. OSU lost 4 straight in the eyes of the country.

That Zack Dumas hit on Auburn's Stacy Danley might be my favorite of all time. In today's game he would have drawn about 3 different penalties, ejected, suspended and probably been arrested, but in that day it completely legal.
