Can you blame them?
I remember going to Hineygate one year for a game (can't remember which, might've been Penn State) and he literally was trolling through the lines to use the porta-pissers just to get people to cheer him on. It was pathetic.

Figures it was ESPiN that did it. Obviously, they did about as much research on him as they have over the years for many of their "breaking news" non-events. 
PS That's why I liked the guy in my profile pic. When I took that photo, he'd been in the stands for a while & I'd watched him interact with people. He'd taken a photo with a little boy and was absolutely charming about it. No hand held out asking for $$. Really, no big ego display--just seemed to be having fun. I thought he was a nice representation of fandom--and he's masked, by the way. So, if he went to Kroger's, unless it was in costume, no one would be asking for his autograph.

Having devoted profound and lengthy thought to the matter (several minutes worth, in fact) it has occurred to me that this is indeed a relatively effortless (as well as meritless) way to become famous. What's not to like about that?
Therefore, I have now created a rabid tOSU fan persona for myself. I already have the shield design.
Now, all I need is a really attention-grabbing costume...
Now what I really wanna do is actually make the shield, then go to a game and sit next to Buckeye Bozo. Oh, Mr. Cameraman...

Awww, c'mon. You catch somebody 75 pounds lighter than you that high, you got no choice but to go Rowdy Roddy Piper on his ass. It ain't like he's getting away.
And I just noticed it with the still. Is he still holding his fucking clipboard? That might be the most impressive thing in the whole god damned takedown.
And to give Dude his due, he's hasn't lost his visor and is still trying to juke Schlegel despite the weight belt that he's carrying around his waist.

Yep, and made sure to hold it in front of the camera for a good 10 seconds to make sure everybody knew just how damn cool it was

Yep...he clearly wanted those guys off the feed.
Bonus point for the camera guy who, after Herbie said "let's just focus on that guy (Brutus)", the camera operator UNfocused and made Brutus a scarlet and gray blur.
