The Miami Valley Centre Mall will host a Sports Card and Collectibles Show February 9-11. The show is co-sponsored by Shelby County Collectibles. In conjunction with that two Ohio State players will be giving autographs. Anthony Gonzalez will sign autographs from 1-3 P.M. Febuary 10 in front of J.C. Penney's. Autographs will be $10 each, with a limit of two per person. Former Piqua standout and Ohio State All-American Quinn Pitcock will be signing FREE autographs from 1-3 February 11 in front of the J.C. Penney store. While Pitcock's autographs are free, there is a limit of two per person. The public may bring their own items to have autographed or merchandise will be available for purchase the day of the signing.
The above says the 11th.....and this is the same date that was in the Sidney Paper and posted at Shelby Collectibles, the promoter for the event.....has this changed?

I honestly don't know which is the mistake. I wrote excactly what the Piqua Daily Call put in the sports section.
Your press release is the same exact thing Sidney Daily has as well, and like I said, that is the dates Collectibles in Sidney had last Saturday. I'll try to stop by the store tomorrow and clarify the time and date of the Piqua signing if I have time, it's only minutes from my house.

Does anybody know if Troy Smith is going to be having an autograph session in Columbus anytime?

Most likely after the SR BOWL and when he decides on who is going to get the rights to be his exclusive autograph "pimp". Word is that he'll be wanting to charge other promoters a miniumum of $35 per signature and up to $50. So, if you want his John Hancock you'll be paying at least $50-$70+ per pop! Want a Heisman inscription? Add another $10-$15!

RIDICULOUS! AND NOT WORTH IT IMO!

Ths is the date of Pitcock's free signing in Piqua from 1-3.....how's he going to be in Cbus 11-1 and Piqua 1-3???

The short answer is...Quinn has been double booked. :(

I talked to both store owners. Both were unaware that another event was advertising Quinn being there on that date. Each have said that they were going to attempt to contact Pitcock's Promoter and get a clarification.

Kevin from Ohio Signatures (Columbus Show) said that he would try to work out something to accomodate both events (i.e., move his show back further...10 or 10:30) and hope the Piqua organizers will be willing to adjust their time to help his show. Or perhaps even ask Quinn to join the Sat. signing if that's more convenient. Whatever the case turns out to be, www.theosustore.com said they would figure out the deal and try to post all the details by this Sunday on their web site.

He also said that they are still hopefull of adding one or two players to the Columbus show, so keep an eye out for the final 'lineup'.

But as far as attending either event, it will obviously be best to check finalized dates, times, and athletes before going and standing in line for any amout of time so as to have all the correct info.

Thanks for getting this up, I have some additional information from the Piqua side of things. I talked to Fred (Shelby Country Collectibles - Piqua Show) this afternoon. This morning was the first he had heard about this, after he found out he immediately contacted the agent for Pittcock. The agent did not know of the double booking and contacted Pittcock down at the Senior Bowl. Pitcock told his agent that he was planning to be at the PIQUA show. Fred was satisfied with this reassurance and asked me to pass along that both the Gonzalez signing and the Pitcock signing were both on as scheduled.

So at this point, I'd say he's still on for Piqua, but as Padraig styated, best to check up closer to the date with the store.

You can contact Shelby County Collectibles at (937) 498-4220

I will post additional infomation as I get it.
