HAYN, if i didn't know any better i would say that you have a real axe to grind with troy and teddy.

Nope. It's nothing with them. It's with their "people" b/c they are making this unaffordable for MANY fans that would really enjoy a piece of their memorabilia. Not too many people can afford stuff at that price. There is a BIG difference between $15 and $35+. It's "their people" that are trying to get their hands on a piece of the pie, so THAT makes the prices go up!

If the players were to be their own representatives in this they would still get their current rates and the pricing would not have to be so ridiculous to include their "peeps" getting a share.

Cardboard Heroes has added several dates and locations for signings with Buckeyes such as Roy Hall, Antonio Smith, Gonzo, & Quinn Pitcock to go with the Pittman events they already had worked out.

To check out dates and locations, go to www.cheroes.com & click on "In-Store Events".

Does anybody have any information on the signings this weekend at The Buckeye Cafe Hall Of Fame? All I know is that Jeff Graham, Jim Stillwagon, and Ted Provost is going to be there. Is there a charge? And will they provide 8x10s to be sold? Thanks

Bad News for Ohio State fans in Ohio. Troy Smith apparently signed a deal with Tri Star ($2million). IF this turns out to be the case I would assume that this mean his shows in Ohio will be limited as he'll be doing more across the country signings etc. Sad!

I had heard rumors about this at a recent show. The only and I do say only positive is that Tri Star is doing the National this summer in Cleveland August 1-5. But with training camps going on at that time it would be interesting to see how they will get Troy at the show. This is a blow to all the little guys in the business. To be honest with you I see more and more players going this route in the future. Sad news for the autograph industry.

HAYN--any idea how this will impact the prices that will be charged for Troy's autograph?

Everyone I've talked to says that Troy's "handlers" want 'Eddie George' money...so if you've ever been to a George signing, you can probably expect a similar rate structure. I think $50 to autograph a picture or small poster, $60 - $75 to sign a football, helmet, or large wall hanging, etc., and $99 to sign a jersey...with inscriptions being extra for any of them.

If he signed the deal with Tri-Star for 2 mil, won't they now control all his signings and thus control the pricing as well?

I looked at some of their up coming events, and the prices will be in that area for sure, but at this point, I think his "handlers" are not going to be making the calls, it's Tri-Star and the 2 mil they paid that will be.
