Lagunasurf said that his Players Check-In Schedule has "autograph session" on Thurs. the 10th, but a few people I've talked to in the AD and Coach T's office have said they don't intend to have a "Fan Appreciation / Autograph Event" during Media Day this year.

I believe the event on Laguna's schedule is for Parents only, but he said he would ask someone the specifics and get back with me (us) after they've settled in (maybe Mon. or Tues.)

I was told that the Team may do something later in the year. Don't know if that means before the season starts, or after the season ends (like the City Center thing)? Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I wanted to let folks know that we're currently auctioning off 3 items that I got autographed last week in Chicago. The descriptions and actual pictures of the items are in the Fundraiser II thread in the open forum. As it says in post #24 of that thread, send me a PM in order to bid on an item. The aution will end at noon next Monday.

I really hope there's something this week. I'm from Virginia, and won't be able to see any games this year because of my work schedule. So, I at least wanted to catch a glimpse of the team at some type of public event. I leave on August 16. If anyone can find anything out, please let me know. I'm a HUGE fan and would be sad if I missed out. Although, on the plus side, the last time I couldn't make it back to Cols. for a whole season, we won the Championship.

I'm not saying whether the item is legit or not, but it looks simply like someone accidentally posted the wrong picture (scUM helmet) with the wrong description (tOSU sigs).

At first I thought the item listed was supposed to be a bunch of OSU players who signed a scUM helmet, which I would have been sceptical of...but looking closer at the sigs, they do appear to match up with their players (again, whether they are authentic or not is the real ???)...#7 = Chad Henne, #39 = Andre Criswell, #16 Adrian Arrington, #31 = Brandent Englemon...those are some of the #s and signatures that look to "match up" to me.

I think the real 'fast one' would be: If the $399 Buy It Now price is for the scUM helmet, then someone is looking to rip folks off (authentic or not...maybe even worth less if it is 'real' :) ). And if the $399 Buy It Now price is for the Buckeye helmet, and all those autographs are on it, then it must be a fake, because we all know the real deal would be worth much more than that. :wink2:

There were 5 or 6 of these people at the Iowa game. They were all pretty rude and one even had his kid working for him. They each had 2 helmets and 4 deflated white panel footballs. They just swarmed the kids when they were walking out to the buses and trying to meet with their families.
