Bryce "L" Underwood (QB ttun, for now)

The Athletic published a ranking of 2026 quarterbacks. Tier 1 listed Sayin at #5, 2 spots ahead of the burnt orange publicity machine. And then there's:

Tier 4

There was a ton of hype surrounding Underwood entering last season as the No. 1 recruit in his class, but the play didn’t match the buzz. He was just a true freshman, and Michigan’s dysfunctional coaching situation didn’t help matters. He has all the physical tools to become a special QB, but it’ll be on a new coaching staff, particularly offensive coordinator Jason Beck, to optimize that ability.
“If you drew up an athlete, they would look like (him),” a Big Ten assistant coach said. “Big, strong, fast, put together the right way. Mechanics and natural feel not to the level of the other guys (at the top of the league), but he has elite talent for sure.”

The only thing elite about that guy is his mouth.

I wouldn't even call that elite. Sounds like every other cockholster that goes there thinking THAT'S the achievment.

Just sayin': The only thing "elite" about this "douche bag" is his NIL contract. Let's face it, if you could buy him for what he is actually worth and then sell him for what he thinks he is worth; you would be financially "set for life.

Anonymous Big Ten coaches deliver harsh Bryce Underwood criticism that feels premature after his true freshman season

It would be foolish to count out the Wolverines’ young QB after just one season.

One coach stated that he’s straight up not impressed by Underwood.

“I’m not impressed. He just misses and misses. He’s tall so he’s able to make certain plays that other guys can’t, and he’s big so he can run. But I don’t see him as someone that’s dangerous at all. He’s a guy who can lose you some games.”

Another coach offered an even more pointed take.

“Just because you pay somebody money doesn’t make them good. There’s going to be a little reality check on that.”
