I suppose they must have been pretty funny looking in the early years.

Actually it was pretty intmidating with its awesome beard design before it was replaced with a goofy hat and jump suit.

I don't know if any of you know ..... but I was the original model for Brutus. It may have been because my head was suntanned except for the part where I wore my beret. just sayin....

Brutus the Buckeye turns 50 this year.

The mascot who’s become synonymous with Ohio State sports was created in 1965 out of a contest to find the next mascot.

If there's anything good about turning 50 this year (besides not dropping dead at 49) is that I share my birth year with Brutus Buckeye.
