I don't like the Edwards picks.... I don't think he'll pan out as a top receiver and the Browns have sooo many needs.

I don't get the Lions picking Williams either. They have Charles Rogers and Mike Williams but no one to throw to them.... Harrington was benched last year for McMahn (sp?).

As much as it pains me to say it, I like the Edwards pick. Of the top 3 receivers he has the least amount of questions as to his ability. Williams only playing two years of college ball concerns me. The only issue I have with Edwards is his concentration. If Crennel can improve that he should be a great pick.

There was no one else worth a #3 and to grab someone else just because we need the help at that position would have been a reach, and that is unacceptable. I really would have like to moved down, but you cannot do that without a trade worth making.

I am glad they did not take a QB. I don't think Smith or Rodgers was worth a top 5 pick.

You have to wonder with Detroit and whether Charles Rogers is coming back. There were rumors that his injuries were not completely healed.

It was very surprising at first, especially when you realize we just signed WR Kevin Johnson. I think it was just a matter of drafting the best available player, and I expect Mooch has confidence in Garcia when they finally give up on Harrington. I didn't really want the Lions to draft a QB this year anyway; I'd have rather picked up Derrick Johnston than Aaron Rodgers.

Frankly, I'm thrilled to pick up a player like Williams with only the #10 pick. Now we'll be fine when Charles Rogers breaks his collarbone again.

I like the edwards pick too. Who else were they supposed to take there? It didn't look like they were getting what they wanted to trade down, and Edwards is definately the best reciever in this class. Plus look at who we have as recievers ... hopefully the knock on edwards hands doesn't turn out to be what defines him in the NFL because we definately don't need another reciever that can't catch.

The Edwards pick was a good pick I think. With Edwards as our #1 and Bryant and Northcutt as 2 and 3, I think that gives us 3 quality receivers as long as they can hang onto the ball.

Hypothetical situation here, say Rogers , Campbell and Frye are all available when the Browns pick in the 2nd round, who should they draft? I say go with Rogers if he is available and if he isnt Campbell should be the pick.

No way Rogers is still there, he's going to GB to learn from Favre. Campbell probably will be gone too, which leaves us with Frye, who I would be happy with.

And the Pack gets Rogers. They have to be ecstatic right now. A guy who has been a projected #1 overall for most of the last few months falls into their laps at 24. Nice pickup, and he'll have one hell of a mentor in Favre. Here's hoping Campbell is still around for us.

Dont be ticked if the didnt get a QB in the second there is always free agency. maybe Carnell thinks Luke is the future. Dilfer will be diecent for a year and they still have the option to trade somewhere somehow.

We don't need to wait for a good free agency QB, we need one to develop. Watching McCown, I have seen nothing to show any kind of intriguing potential. Besides that, if we are going to pick defense at the top of round 2, why not go for a more pressing need like DL(Cody)? This is just years of frustration coming out. Maybe it will all workout, but being a Cleveland fan pretty much requires one to be pessimistic at this point.

Brodney Poole?WTF!!!??? Do they actually think McCown is our future? What QB's are going to be there for our next pick?Walter maybe?:smash: :sad2:
The Browns have so many holes that they are taking best available player.
Other than WR, TE, and RB, they need everything.
If he is indeed the best player, I have no problem with it.
Maybe Frye will still be there in the 3rd round. I doubt it though.

The Browns still need o-lineman, d-lineman, lb's. They need alot.
