mcmillan was the next guy on the list after dallas jumped up to grab chris canty.

cleveland got a qb of the future who was projected as the #24 pick in the draft.
they got a safety that was slotted as the #1 FS in the draft.
they finally have a true playmaker at WR.

their first day was very good. while i would have liked elton brown in the 4th instead of perkins, they did a good job on day 2.

I agree with you except I would've rather picked up someone other than Brown and Perkins with that pick Browns a guard and we got two solid ones right now, I would have chosen an OT right there. Perkins could be a solid return man though. I loved the Jon Dunn pick, hes an enormous OT.

kirk chamber is a solid backup at OT, so unless cleveland was going to reach on wes britt, there werent any tackles worth that early 4th. Dunn was a quality pick at that point.

cleveland is still one snap away from having to play enoch demar. that isnt a comforting thought.

cleveland still needs one more solid LB

Ravens
22. Mark Clayton WR- A need for the Ravens and they got a pretty good one here

53. Dan Cody DE/OLB- A steal at 53, but he dropped because of his previous battles with depression, plus he's a little undersized

64. Adam Terry OT- Good value at 64, could battle Orlando Brown for playing time

My Grade- B+; Filled needs exceptionally, but no stand out player in there haul

Bengals
17. David Pollack DE- Fills hole at DE, doesn't have top speed but is a beast pash rushing

48. Odell Thurman MLB- Character concerns but was the best MLB available at that pick

83. Chris Henry WR- Also has characer concerns but could be a large contributer

My Grade- B; Picked up Pollack and got a potential star in Henry, but again din't get a real superstar although Pollack could develop into a solid NFLer

Steelers
30. Heath Miller TE- Best TE in the draft and gives Ben another option to throw the ball to. Good blocker but lacks Tony Gonzalez type speed.

62. Bryant McFadden CB- Fills a need but IMO there were better CBs available at this pick

93. Trai Essex OL- Though of highly by Kiper and should compete for a job a couple years down the road

My Grade- B-/B; doesn't look great on paper but did well with the picks they had

Browns
3. Braylon Edwards WR- Some think hes the best player in the draft, some think Williams is better. IMO he will be AFC rookie of the year.

34. Brodney Pool S- Has received comparisons to Roy Williams and if he wouldve stayed another year he would've likely been top 10. Some wouldve gone another direction with this pick but im behind Savage 110%

67. Charlie Frye QB- Filled a need; hometown kid; wouldve been a good pick even in the second round

My Grade- A; Only thing keeping me from an A+ is some later round picks that I didn't agree with 100%

I'm really suprised that Fraser has not been drafted... I would love to see him in a Packer uniform. They need help on the D-line badly. You know who else hasn't been drafted.... Heisman winner Jason White

I like the browns draft class. Went for help on both sides of the ball. I love the oklahoma guys and the pick of frye. I thought they would draft offensive line earlier but i guess not. It seemed like they followed the same foot steps as davis and palmer as of drafting o-line in the 6th and 7th round. Other then that i love this class.

Well one thing about Oklahoma they did get into double figures with players drafted ..

but they would have needed all 14 on the board to be picked up to equal the record take of 14 players -- which remains a record firmly in the hands of the Buckeyes.

(And I too am surprised that Fraser was not picked up, free agency perhaps?)

They did sign some FA OL. I think they feel good about what they have without the draft. Hopefully their first pick next year will be in a place where they can draft a beast LT, but this year didn't have any OL worth the #3 pick.

Please forgive any spelling errors:
Verba, Andruzzi, Faine, Coleman, and Tucker sound better than the past few years.

The Browns picked up Eric Mahl (ILB from Kent State) who was an undrafted free agent a few hours ago. I'm sure some may not care, but I know him personally and thought it was pretty cool. Whoever said a small d6 farm town couldnt make an NFL player?

I had the privelage to play with Eric for two years at Monroeville High School. The kid has a strong work ethic, and I think he has a shot to make it with the Brownies.

agree 100% we weren't in a position to draft an OLineman with the picks we had. Barron is a reach at 3 and at 34 I would've much rather picked up Pool that Khalif Barnes. Which is exactly why Savage addressed our needs in Free Agency

Actually i heard that chambers was like retiring to become a missionary or something like that...

BTW i like what the browns did in this draft and pool was a surprising choice to me but this guy is a good football player and that is what savage is stocking up with, good quality football players
