It was a good call. Lewis kept pushing for yards, and you have to give the RB an opportunity to get a couple more. Harrison made a good play and hurt, but good call by the officials.
I do not blame Dawson for the missed FG. If he was kicking into a breeze that kick probably would have been good. It was dead on.
Yeah, but I do blame the coaching staff for not recognizing that a 52-yard field goal wasn't going to work. With 11 seconds, they should have tried a quick out pattern to Winslow, Edwards or Jurevicious.
Finally and probably most controversial is that while DA throws the long ball very nicely, he seems to have problems throwing the 5-10 yard routes accurately. Even though I am happy with the Brown's record, I would like B. Q. to see some action.
Insane. Anderson IS the reason this team is 5-4. If Brady Quinn had done what Derek has done up to this point, people in Cleveland would be crowning his ass right now. DA is 24 years old. He's got great size, a strong arm, and a good connection with our playmakers. PLUS, WE'RE IN A PLAYOFF RUN HERE. Why, after one game, would you fuck with a good thing?
I think it is also time for Willie to see less playing time. He is reminding me of Washington and I think Romeo almost plays him because he thinks he owes him something for coming from New England. He whiffed on Ben a couple times and provides no pass rush at all.
Agreed. If he ran a 40, I'm not sure he'd break 5.0 right now.
Why would Romeo challenge that last call if he knew it was going to cost him two timeouts especially when every play is reviewed in the last five minutes. The chances of winning that review was slim, at best, and it might have cost the Browns the game.
Exactly the reason why Romeo needs to be canned. You hire a headcoach to make those difficult decisions throughout the course of a game. How many people trust Romeo right now with a critical decision?
