Very sad. I remember something similar happened here in Oregon but it was a few guys burning a cat. I wish animal cruelty had severe penalties. You can do just about anything to an animal and get off with a cheap fine and a short probation.

This really not only sickens, but saddens me on such a deep level. I know being an animal person, especially dogs, is a lot of it, but in my eyes people who torture animals are less than scum to me. Killing animals, especially domestic ones, is bad enough, but torturing them to a painfull death should carry an extremely high penalty.

10 years should be the starting point. It is completely unneccessary and avoidable.
