BRIEF OBSERVATIONS FROM C DECK - USC

A few quick notes from an airport filled with Trojans on a laptop too small for my fat fingers.

1. Been going to OSU games since 1968 - first time my ears ever hurt.

2. Perhaps the fastest Defense I have ever seen in person.

3. Incredible effort by our coaches and players.

4. I love CFB almost as much as I love OSU. I would rather watch us lose that game than watch us beat Youngstown St.

5. All the folks who were complaining that our team didn't have a prayer and are now complaining about a play here or decision there need to take a step back - particularly as it pertains to our coach.

6. Proud to be a Buckeye. Great days ahead.

I'm going to fast forward to next February. This game, that crowd, that noise - it's gonna get you 2-3 recruits that normally would have stayed closer to home (from all parts of the country).

Mark it down.

Yep - it seems the perception of the team has gone from "shitty vs. good teams" to "can't close in the big game"

<sarcasm> I guess, since Tress can't close on big recruits - his recruits can't close in big games? </sarcasm>

And how many people thought D. Carter was going to come down with that 4th down pass - I did.

Very true, Ohio Stadium had this season's "main event" of college football nonconference games last night. The real college football fans had to love it, undoubtedly ESPN/ABC loved it, both schools loved it ($$$), I'm sure the players loved it (i.e. playing a top school on national TV in "prime time"), and I thought it was great too.

The Texas series was great, the USC series was great: keep them coming.:osu:

Hopefully U of Miami can step up their game and make the next home and home as good as the two previous premiere programs.

Back home on Connecticut now. I'm happy to say that I have no voice at all. As soon as SC went on to the field, everyone just stood up and started yelling, and this is 17C, not the student section.

Great time, but I think next year I'll attend the Purdue game. I need to see a win.
