Brian "Body Kount" Kelly (HC Louisiana State)

i’m in the minority, but i’m glad he did.

at one time Moffit was probably the best in the business.
but the last several years, we seem to have gotten softer, get pushed around more, and have a ton more injuries.
Might sound weird but I've always said major sports teams and pro athletes should all be doing yoga with their strength and speed training. longer muscles being stronger muscles, the resiliency is what might keep most of these injuries at bay. Some you just will never be able to avoid. Seems you guys have had a mass amount, especially to very key personnel these past few years.

have you seen who’s been prowling the LSU sidelines for the last 16 years or so?

if his football IQ is anywhere north of room temperature, he’s a huge upgrade over each of our last 2 guys. and both of those idiots were able to win titles here.

for the first time in almost 2 decades, we have a coach that is more known for actually coaching than for being a cartoon character.

so forgive us for being a little excited about the possibilities.

He got a kid killed though.

I know you have to root for the guy. I’m not sure what I’d do if OSU hired him. Honestly.

I hear about football players doing Yoga usually to recover from an injury.

I agree with you about including it as part of the regular routine, and also depending on the type of Yoga style (e.g. Vinyasa flow) the training could help build stamina and mental endurance while exerting extreme physical effort.

so now that the dust has settled, my thoughts.

was not in my top handful because, let’s be honest, you don’t just take a Notre Dame coach from them.
it’s been 114 years since one has left for another job (rather than retiring or getting canned)

obviously haven’t followed him as closely as people here probably did due to the regional thing, but his résumé is phenomenal.
far and away better than anyone we’ve ever hired before (at time of hiring).

hasn’t won the big one yet, but let’s not act like he’s on level playing field there.
try talking kids into going to Notre Dame these days.
it’s not like it was when they were the only school on TV every week.
now everybody is on TV every game.

South Bend is a small town with shit weather and strict catholic rules and actual enrollment restrictions.

Baton Rouge hit 80° today. And we’ll take anyone with an IQ above freezing.
And we’re all alone in the state that produces more NFL talent than any other per capita.

i have all the confidence in the world that he can be our 4th straight coach to win a Natty.

I'll also add that the food in Louisiana is great. I don't know if it's a tourist spot, and if there's better, but when I last went to BR I ate at Parrain's and the food was amazing. Probably miles better than anything in South Bend.

oh absolutely.
i don’t do restaurants often, because i prefer to cook myself, but our food kicks everyone’s ass.
